Dokobots is not your usual mobile game. It actually requires that you stand up and walk around. The player starts a scavenger hunt and is sent to collect virtual objects like robots and batteries that are “hidden” in real places in your neighborhood. The bots that you pick up can tell you more about their adventures with other players in other locations. It’s a fun geogame with social elements that gets you moving outside.
Type: Video
Works on: iOS & Android
Rated: 4 for iPhone, 3 for Android
This social video-sharing app made a lot of noise as the “Instagram of video”. Socialcam allows users to capture videos with their mobile camera, edit them and then share them on multiple social platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and more. Socialcam is boasting a super friendly interface, a set of custom filters and unlimited video length. If you download this app and share content, we recommend you have a look at the privacy settings first.
Color Text Messages (Android, iPhone)
Type: Social
Works on: iOS & Android
Rated: 3 for iPhone, 4 for Android
It’s incredible how mobile phones have evolved while text messages remained rather dull. But this app is going to change that. After installing Color Text Messages, you will be able to choose font size, type and color, as well as add background photos, clipart, textures, symbols, effects and more. These flashy text messages can be shared on social networks too.
Type: Tools
Works on: Android
Rated: 4+
If your battery drains quickly, you should have a look at this app. It significantly extends battery life by cleverly managing the apps and functions that take most energy. You can whitelist certain apps you want constantly running, you can schedule “sleeping” times for reduced workload and you can set up an emergency mode that disables energy-consuming functions when the battery is too low.

Works on: iOS & Android
Rated: 3+ for iPhone, 4 for Android
An awesome way to discover new music directly on your Smartphone. 8tracks lets you listen to radio mixes curated by users (your friends, your favorite DJ’s or the finest music blogs). You can search for music according to genre, mood or artist name and keep track of new tunes that you enjoyed.

You don’t need to own a Kindle device to enjoy Amazon’s reader. You can simply install this app and get immediate access to all of the ebooks available on Amazon. This app allows you to highlight parts of the text, make notes and leave bookmarks. It’s highly convenient for reading long texts, even on a relatively small screen.
Google Translate

Yes, the online tool that has turned every regular Joe Schmoe into a brilliant linguist is also available on mobile. Just like the regular version, it’s very simple to operate. One of the best features of this app is the ability to translate spoken text (not on all languages). New languages are constantly being added, so if yours isn’t there right now you should look it up later.
Type: Content
Works on: iOS & Android
Rated: 4+ for both
Probably the most comprehensive and user-friendly RSS app out there. You can easily find news, set up a feed according to your interests, save articles and share content that you like. One of the best features of Pulse is that it downloads the articles and lets you view them even without internet connection. Works great on mobile phones, but on tablets it’s really quite dreamy.
Adobe Photoshop Express
Type: Photo editing
Works on: iOS & Android
Rated: 4 for Android, 3+ for iPhone
If you like enhancing your photos, here’s an easy way to edit photos on the go. It’s a light version of Photoshop but doesn’t require prior experience with the program. You can crop, rotate, edit colors, add filters, and purchase in-app additions if you want to go pro.
Type: Tools, shopping
Works on: iOS & Android
Rated: 4+ for both
Smart shopper? Take this app with you when you go shopping and it might help you save a lot of money. Red Laser scans barcodes and compares prices for you on the spot. It has a very good photo recognition system, so you don’t need the newest device to get it working right. Many products come with additional info like customer reviews, nutritional value, allergy notices and more.

These mobile apps are awesome. Specially the video sharing app, battery defender and color text messages. Video sharing apps are the most fascinating ones. These apps help users capture videos, edit them and share them with their friends and family. A great information indeed ! Keep that going.
Nice post!
WIX .COM
I don’t know where to began. Really I truly don’t but, here goes. I’m a Graphic Designer, T-Shirt Artist, Web Designer. I go to Action Illustrated Website to see if they prices of their wonderful products have come down in price. Sadly or should I say “Dang Man I wish they would” come down on their prices. As I was looking at all of their books, there at the very bottom of the screen I notice this really interesting verbiage about a “FREE” Website. Well if you know me, I’m always looking for a bargain. I proceeded to click on this FREE website and Low And Behold, I get you. I’m stun, speechless, full of emotion (most Artist are very emotional) at your website. I’m still shaking at all you have done for the Greater Good. I’m a bit behind when it comes to the Social Media that is permeated the web and the world. I’m not on any of them. I have a “Love Hate” relationship with my Apple Phone. As far as Tablets go I will get one soon. I will briefly say this. Never Have I wanted a device like I wanted the Apple Tablet. I know there are thousands of Apps for that tablet. But, what I want it for was only 2 things. One, The Periodical Table,(meaning all the elements i.e. iron, diamonds, ore etc) The second one is I love comics! LOL. They have an app called Marvels. Now, I know I’m a day late, and a dollars short when it comes to other great apps out there but, those 2 Apps where going to make me buy that Apple Tablet. I’m sorry I was getting off on the wrong foot here. Nevertheless I’m so very happy, excited, stirring with emotions on your “Truly Great Site” I have never, ever use a splash page but your website will be my NEW splash page for years to come. I feel that strongly about your site, you guys, technology, etc. I will end on this note, I need to get out of my so call Cave and see what is truly out here. LOL Thank you so very much for allowing me to visit your site. And as my Graphic Teacher use to say…KISS. And Oh! Yes! I will have a website soon from you guys! I’m still looking at your site along with Action Illustrated’s too!
