Thetas Have All the Fun!
Thetas always have a busy social calendar. Between our mixers, theme parties, and formals, we are never bored on the weekend! The chapter looks forward to learning the theme of each semester's parties, finding the perfect date, creating the best costumes, and of course, attending the events!
Mixers
Mixers are social events open to Thetas and members of another selected organization. The Thetas have had movie night and Guitar Hero night with Sigma Alpha Epsilon, bingo night with Kappa Sigma, a pumpkin carving party with Chi Phi, a glow in the dark Easter egg hunt with Omega Delta Phi, board game night with Lambda Phi Epsilon, and played football with Zeta Beta Tau.
Parties
Every semester, Theta hosts at least one theme party, open to Thetas and their dates. Themes like Viva La Theta, Famous Faces, 80s Night, and Toy Store encourage everyone to get into costume and always make for great memories.
In February 2007, Theta hosted a Latin-themed date party, Dancing with the Thetas. It was held at UTD where the Thetas and their dates were taught how to salsa dance by a certified instructor.
Grab-a-Dates are a fun twist on the standard sorority party. Sisters receive short notice about the party, scramble to find a date, and meet up for a night of fun surprises!
Formal
Kappa Alpha Theta hosts an annual formal in the spring in one of Dallas' many beautiful banquet halls. The spring 2009 formal was themed Good Fortunes. Seeing sisters and dates all decked out in formal attire is a great way to send the year out in style!
