Actual TV headlines on the evening news about PaperDoll included "US Rock Band Overwhelms Expo Visitors". Their infectious high-energy sound can be heard in NIKE, Dayquil, Good Day New York, The Today Show, MTV, Blender, Maxim, Gotham, and a slew of films including critically acclaimed The People I've Slept With. Teresa Lee (vocals/keyboard),Patrick Moloney (guitar), Steve Paelet (bass), Chip Thomas (drums).
The Hsu-nami became known as the first "Progressive Erhu Rock" band in the world.
Their music is marked by virtuosic erhu melodies and shredding licks, in place of vocals, as intertwined by heavy guitar riffs, tasteful guitar solos, funky rhythms, and metal-driven rock drumming. Part of the new-fusion rock movement, the Hsu-nami redefines the 1960s and 1970s fusion rock sound.

About
Asian Americans for Hope is a division of the American Cancer Society Eastern Asian Division. We are a group of young professionals from all industries fighting for the same cause. More than 50% of the Asian population is foreign-born, and 32% have household incomes of less than $25,000. While 80% have been in the U.S. for more than five years, a large proportion of New York City's Asian population have limited or very limited English proficiency and lack health insurance coverage. In a world where information is so readily available on the internet, there is a need to get that information to those who might not have that. Our mission at Asian Americans for Hope is to unite everyone to help raise awareness and support to bring cancer care services to a community that is unaware of the resources available. Passport to Asia is our way of celebrating life with traditional and fusion eateries. There'll be something for everyone. Challenge your taste buds, satisfy your sweet tooth or try healthy zen options. Join us as we celebrate Asian tradition and culture, and creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays. Your support and contribution is crucial to the American Cancer Society's mission of diminishing the suffering from cancer and raising the awareness in prevention through its comprehensive programs. And together, we can and we will find a cure. Learn more about our mission for Asian Americans for Hope
