What Sandwell Young Carers means to the Young Carers..."Young Carers means a lot to me becasue it is somewhere where you can discuss things with other carers about our caring roles and gives us chance to meet new friends.""I have fun becasue we do different activities that may help us in the future. We also have free time which gives us a chance to socialise.""Young Carers also gives us an oppurtunity to learn new things and also gain confidence in my caring role.""It is great and has helped me interact and socialise with other young carers.""The best thing about SYC is that you know that there is always someone there to support you.""Attending SYC gives me the chance to go on daytrips and residentials, e.g. Drayton Manor & Frank Chapman, which allows me too meet other young carers and get away from the stress in my life.""SYC means a lot to me as it gives me a break from my caring responsibilities and gives me a place to talk to people who understand how i feel.
