John Cottrell, Ph.D.
is formally educated in clinical psychology and worked in Salt Lake City, Utah as a psychotherapist in a substance abuse treatment agency for over 10 years. He brings his education in psychology and devotion to yoga and fitness to offer the benefits of a healthy body and mind connection. John is currently a Yoga Life Coach and is dedicated to helping people discover and enhance their authentic selves through the healing power of the yoga practice. He offers private and semi-private yoga lessons, workshops, and retreats to those seeking a greater connection to self.
John also teaches Power Yoga, Soft Flow Yoga Classes, Men’s Yoga Classes at Centered City Yoga, a D’ana Baptiste Studio in Salt Lake City. As a certified yoga instructor (RYT500), John is one of the instructors involved with the 200, 300, and 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings at Centered City Yoga and the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Life Time Fitness.
