Lester "Newnue" Matthews
was born and raised in the Crescent City of New Orleans, LA on September 10, 1985. Currently residing in Houston, TX, He received his degree in "Video Production" in 2010.
Blogging since May 2008, Newnue has a unique style of which is expressed through his popular YouTube channel "The YBN Channel". Many of his webisodes consist of interviews with friends and associates in the community that deal with everyday topics from relationships to celebrity entertainment. His most popular and signature shows have been those that consist of him traveling across the United States meeting and greeting viewers and fans, experiecing different cultures, and documenting Prides, Partys, and special events with his friends through video.
With Newnue's Video Production skills, not only has Newnue videos garnered attention for it's content but also for the attention to details in quality editing and special effects that come along with his shows. He enjoys creating websites and updating his own website "YoBoiNewnue.com" which launched in 2008. During the past two years, Newnue has established a brand for YoBoiNewnue.com and his YouTube show "1on1 with NewNue" which continues to steady bring him to the forefront as a leader in the LGBT community and a Socialite. Newnue has had the distinct pleasure of interviewing Karamo of MTV's "The Real World", Kandi and Sheree of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta", Multimedia Maven B. Scott of "LoveBScott.com", and many more.
Newnue has aspirations to become an actor and has been using his YBN brand to take the next step in his career. He recently relocated to L.A. and has many upcoming special events and Prides he will be hosting this summer as well as more celebrity interviews for his "1on1 w Newnue" show. New has turn to the world of etertainment with his new show "The BuzZ, that airs every week on his youtube channel.
Don Lemon Comes OUT
CNNs weekend anchor Don Lemon reveals that he is gay in his new memoir, Transparent. I abhor hypocrisy, Lemon told the New York Times. I think if youre going to be in the business of news, and telling people the truth, of trying to shed light in dark places, then youve got to be honest. Youve got to have the same rules for yourself as you do for everyone else.
Lemon admitted he is scared by peoples reaction, but that CNN has assured him of their support. I think it would be great if everybody could be out, he said to the paper. But its such a personal choice. People have to do it at their own speed. I respect that. I do have to say that the more people who come out, the better it is for everyone, certainly for the Tyler Clementis of the world.
