Welcome to GYW!
As Gujarati Kids in Sydney, we have all been lucky enough to grow up under the watchful eye of our Gujarati Samaj. No matter what background, age or talent, we were supported through thick and thin and now as we progress into adulthood, we all ought to contribute individually to its ongoing success.
That is the major aim of the Gujarati Youth Wing; a subdivision of the Samaj. By organising large-scale fundraising events over the course of the year, the organisation will exponentially grow, and as will its list of members.
The organisation also aims to create a family like atmosphere between our youths, and will be a great experience for meeting new people, and forming friendships to last a lifetime. Working as a big team, the 2009 agenda includes a Trivia Night planned for July, a Harbour Cruise, Summer Camps as well as regular parties and meetings to stay in touch.
So I urge all Gujarati Youth out there between the ages of 16 and 25 to join if you have not already done so. Email your details to gujaratiyouthwing_gmail.com to become a member, its free to join!
