Susan is a free spirit who loves playing with different colours and mediums to express beauty. One medium in which she successfully expresses herself in is make-up. She has been in love with the idea that the face is a canvas on which to illustrate beauty and strongly believes that it is a way to portray and express oneself as confident and strong to the world.
Since starting off as a fashion assistant for the South African YOU magazine in Cape Town she found her true passion in the creative industry is in make-up and styling. She then proceeded to study a diploma in make-up and hairstyling whilst working and graduated at Brushstrokes Academy in Cape Town in 2007. Since then its been a whirlwind journey to find inspiration and discover her artistic horizons through freelancing and collaborating with different talented creatives.
Susan worked for Bobbi Brown in Cape Town and is currently working at one of the largest accounts for them in London. After moving to London, she has encountered endless opportunities to find beauty and inspiration in the European countries close by as well as the fashion industry in this big city.
As a freelance artist she has worked on the Pierre Garroudi SS/11 fashion show during the 2010 London Fashion Week, Top Colour of Model press release shoots, Miss West Africa Calendar shoot and collaborated with talented designers on various look books.
Susan finds that in life it is a never ending journey of discovery, not only in ones self but in the people that she works with. It is a path of constant knowledge seeking and experiencing as well as experimenting. Currently pursuing to do more free lancing in London so to increase her experience and find more ways to highlight the beauty innate in every face. Her wish is to uncover and bring out more beauty in this world.
