Drug-ARM is an inter-denominational Christian organisation dedicated to helping people with issues of alcohol or drug abuse and addictions.
Street Vans are the core component of the DrugARM ministry. They are essentially a mobile unit equipped with food and drink facilities as well as safety and communications equipment.
The vans patrol urban areas, operated by volunteers who are trained in first aid, drug and alcohol knowledge and listening skills. They are people with a heart for reaching the lost
The aim of these units is to provide mobile aid and assistance to those on the streets late at night. All of our services are free of charge to those in need.

Auckland Branch Chairman's Report March 2010
Hi, all, I hope you had a wonderful break over Christmas.
It amazes me how much people are willing to give. The Christmas Gift Appeal 2009 saw us receive the most we have ever received. We had over 40 scarves, so much chocolate and other small gifts. Let me tell you each and every gift was so appreciated. We had one man, who was 46 years old, who had tears in his eyes. He just could not believe someone would give him a gift. His name is Brent and he lives on the streets. He was sleeping under the Grafton Cemetery bridge with one other man and two ladies. Brent told us that this was the first present he had ever been given. The scarves went down a treat with the prostitutes, as did all the other goodies. That night my team lost count of how many people they talked to, but it was over 170 people and around 150 gifts were given out.
So far this year I've shared at the Waiuku Lions with Leslie, Nerolie and Dorothy. Around 60 people were at the dinner. I have also shared at a young adult's life group in West Harbour, there were 16 people there. Some are going to do the training. Again I would love share with any groups you can get me into.
The website www.ourwaitakere.co.nz/drugarmauckland has been well received with many people logging in to have a look.
Exciting things are happening with now 2 teams working out of Waiuku.
Also Pastor Dave's church is in a joint ministry with Drug-ARM sharing at a South Auckland market on Saturday mornings.
We've been blessed with the funding that w applied for to run the ministry.
Also we had an awesome night of prayer for the ministry on December 5th. Many thanks to those who made it along. Our next night of prayer will be 5th March. These are a great time to get to know each other, all are welcome to come along.
Lastly, the latest van is now up and running, so that is awesome!
God Bless - Brent Ericksen

Acknowledgements
This is a letter of acknowledgement to all those who have funded and supported the Auckland Urban Mission [Drug ARM ] in its ministry. Firstly let me say that without this financial support the ministry would have to stop. Over the past year we have been able to help out hundreds of people from all walks of life.
You all are a part of this, as without your support we wouldn't be able to be out on the streets. From the committee, I would like to gratefully thank each and every funder. I would ask that as you see businesses that donate to the ministry you might support them with your business.
To the Community Boards, thanks for the time you put into making your COMMUNITY a better place. We hope to have more contact with you in the future. The Community Boards that have supported us include Manurewa and Hobson.
To the COGS Grants from Auckland, Manukau and Papakura/Franklin thank you for your support, with it we do make a difference
To the PERRYS FOUNDATION and LOTTERIES GRANTS again many thanks for your support. To follow is a small list of companies that faithfully support the ministry. Again, on behalf of Drug ARM Auckland, Thank you.
Brent Ericksen,
