Unleashing creativity & attacking consumerism{Swap, Swish...Swap!}Agenda SummaryNow is the time for us to come together once again for a celebration of reuniting, reusing,reforming, reworking, repairing, rejoicing, recycling and renouncing to the world. Everythingcomes full circle!DID YOU KNOW....Swap events recycle tens of thousands of pounds of clothing each year as well as teachcreative reuse through clothing alteration: sewing, embroidery, silk screening. Collectively thisproduces a 5,000 to 10,000 pound pile of free clothing that is saved from landfill and made newas it is redistributed and then transformed by each participant. Artist taught how-to workshops,and thematic workstations such as silk screening, stenciling, or hand & machine sewing, offerinspiration as well.
