- Share your own creations with the group during informal gatherings in private homes (and boats!)

You'll receive restaurant recipes to try at home

and cook with the group at the end of the term.

How to Join PLEASE EMAIL US IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN JOINING THE CLUB (2ND TERM: JUNE - OCTOBER 2011).Joining the Club is simple: Email us at wordofmouthsf_me.com or use the Contact Us section of this website. You will then receive a confirmation with detailed dates, times and places for the meetings.Word of Mouth is a private club and a limited number of memberships are available for each term. Though the club is designed to expose members to a variety of culinary experiences during the 4-5 months, members are not required to attend all events. An email will be sent 10 days prior to each gathering and members are required to RSVP for each event. Members will be informed of any cost associated with the event (average $70 for food+wine+service+tax).The second Word of Mouth Food Club term starts onJune 18, 2011 and runs through November 8, 2011.Sign up to get the detailed schedule or go to Schedule for preliminary dates.WHAT WE OFFERA chance to dine with mindful, curious, food-loving people in the best San Francisco restaurants with a pre-negotiated tasting menu and wine pairings, while meeting the Chefs and exploring the culture and traditions behind each cusine. Cuisines Each month Word of Mouth will concentrate on a different cuisine. Here's where we've been so far:AUGUST 2011SF Street Food Fair Local and International cuisines... a sea of sampling!JULY 2011Contigo Spanish and Catalan Cuisine - to live for!JUNE 2011Member appetizer sharing night aboard Jameson 2 Cruise around the bay while eating/drinking/and sharing food stories...FEBRUARY 11, 2010: MASTER CLASSPrivate Home Learning to cook a special dish from each of the visited cuisines. Pairing of each dish with the appropriate wine.FEBRUARY, 1 2010: ITALIAN CUISINE (REGION OF LIGURIA)Farina Cultural information and recipes emailed before the event. Photos of Liguria shared at dinner. Italian host to answer questions at dinner.JANUARY 11, 2010: INDIAN/PAKISTANI CUISINEAslam's Rasoi Cultural information and recipes emailed before the event. Meeting the Chef at dinner, and kitchen tour.DECEMBER 1, 2010: YEMENI CUISINESaha Cultural information and recipes emailed before the event. Meeting with the Chef at dinner.NOVEMBER 14, 2010: BRAZILIAN CUISINEHosted at Private Home Brazilian Cuisine: cultural information and recipes emailed after the event.Members are encouraged to try some of the recipes at home and discuss outcomes/ask questions during our dinners.Approximate cost per person for each restaurant outing: $70, including tasting menu, wine pairing, service and tax. Cost will be sent 10 days prior to each outing.Dates subject to change.

Cooking Event During our Cooking Event we will make some of our favorite dishes from each of the cuisines we experienced in the 5 months of the club term. Other cooking events might include specific interests such as canning and jamming, ethnic cuisine demos, and potlucks.These are usually hands-on event; members can be required to bring ingredients (tbd), wine, cutting board & knife, etc.Our next cooking event, "Can you Can & Jam?" will happen on November 8, 2011.Date subject to change.

Cost COSTThe only costs incurred are those of the restaurant visits and the food/beverage for cooking events. Email us to become a member. You will then receive detailed schedule information and we will notify you 10 days prior to each event of any costs associated with it (for you food, wine, tax, service and/or class).Word of Mouth will also send you a profile on the restaurant to be visited, a recipe from the restaurant's Chef, and other cultural information about each featured cuisine.There is a limited number of memberships available. Please email us soon to guarantee your spot.Each restaurant outing shall cost between $65 and $75 per person, including a tasting menu, wine pairing, tax and service.In order to negotiate the best menus and prices, we must have a final count of club members one week prior to each restaurant visit.
