Tasting Notes: In his classification of Fronsac wines (Fronsac is located only 1 kilometer away from Pomerol), Robert Parker defines Villars as Excellent (top 5 best vineyards). It is partly aged in oak barrels, full-bodied and displays powerful aromas of dark red fruits.
Food Matching: Reaching perfection with a braised beef or a beef in brown sauce. This is a full-body full-flavour match. Also enjoyable with braised or grilled game, lamb or pork.
Grapes: Syrah / Fer Servadou
Tasting Notes: While flexibility, brimming with fruit and freshness in his youth, the expression on the palate is rich in aromas of blackcurrant and ripe fruit. The structure is tender and finely seasoned, very rounded, supported by firm tannins and well attended.
