"We 'Literally' Run the West"

The West Coast Authors Movement also known as W-CAM is a group of local and naturalized Californian Authors and Publishers who not only came together to support one another but to use team work to promote literacy through the use of Urban Literature. Our mission is to use our novels as tools to relate to non-readers in hopes to spark an interest for reading with in them and to continue bringing the hottest novels around to book lovers and avid readers. Our workshops, signings, tours and meet & greets are other methods we use to strive to educate while distributing our novels. We appreciate the time you have taken to check out our site and feel free to contact us with any additional questions. blank Terry L. Wroten is a prime example of positive change. Once an active member of the Four-Trey Gangsta Crips he chose to hang up his flag and devote his time to doing community outreach work with children in some of the same neighborhoods he once terrorized. Terry is the CEO of No Brakes Publishing, author of “Natural Born Killaz” and has a story in the award-winning anthology “The Massacre”. Terry currently resides in Los Angeles, CA where he is at work on his next novel.

Blank01 Mimi Renee California native born in Compton and raised in Long Beach California, Mimi Renee recalls that reading and writing has always been her passion from as far back as she could remember. As a young girl she read aloud to herself and others for fun and enjoyed volunteering to stand up to and read out loud in front of class as much as she could. During her sophomore year in high school at David Starr Jordan High in north Long Beach, Mimi learned that she was pregnant and was soon transferred to a continuation school to finish her high school term out at Will Reid continuation, in a special program for pregnant minors.Getting her life on track as a mother and not able to hang out with friends like she had in the past, Mimi reclaimed her passion for reading. She read countless books of various genres in her spare time. A few of her favorite authors are; Sister Souljah, Terry McMillan, Teri Woods, Nikki Turner, Shannon Holmes, Mary B. Morrison and Mary Monroe. Going back to her grass roots of scribed art suddenly Mimi had become inspired to put her passion for writing into action. After writing her first line on the page of her notebook, she was hooked.

Blank02 Born and raised in Long Beach. In 2008 is debut book "EveryDay Life" won two literary awards. His recently released title It "Ain't Just The Size" is a thought provoking, ground breaking exploration into the lives and minds of Americans. He is regarded as one of the fresh new American minds for Political Analysis and Social Commentary. He is also known for his unique perspectives on Race, Pop-Culture, Sports, Politics and Hip-Hop. He advocates equality, social justice and personal responsibility.

Blank03 Born and raised in the gutter streets of Los Angeles, where the streets will make or break you. Growing up in an environment Where most worship the two colors, (Red or Blue) Brandy was recruited as a Criplette. After a few decades of living the street live, she retired her blue rag. Brandy is now an up-and coming urban fiction writer on the west coast putting it down for no brake publishing, west coast style.

Blank04 Kelly Wiley, also writing as Brooke Lynn has been addicted to words for as long as she can remember. Being born and raised in the San Francisco , Bay Area, Kelly’s flare for descriptive writing will take you right into the land of hyphy, where pimpen aint easy, and hustlen is a way of life. As the first author stepping to the stage on the Black Dawn after Dark’s side, she promises to bring urban erotica to a new level of heat with lust and desire as her first order of business. So leave the True Religions and the Seven jeans on the floor and slip into something more comfortable, you’ll need it, once you get a taste of her “Candy”. Kelly currently resides in Arizona by way of the Bay Area and is the author of “CANDYGIRL” and “The Streets Don’t Love You.”

Page 2 Raynesha Pittman is the CEO, Founder and currently the sole author of Conglomerate Ink, an Urban Literature publishing company established November 2010 to help authors expose and share their talents of storytelling while developing discipline in their craft to become successful. Raynesha’s debut novel titled “KISMET” the first book of the “Beyond the Bedroom Series” an urban fiction drama with a touch of erotica was released March 2011. She is currently working on the second volume in the series “Some Things You Will Never Understand” scheduled to release September 2011. She is a California native residing in Georgia with her husband and children.

Page 3 This Cha’Bella Don hails from Los Angeles, California being the only child and growing up in the mean streets of Los Angeles Cha’Bella Don escaped the realities of the world by reading and writing. Writing poetry became one of her past time hobbies. Later on in junior high school Cha’Bella Don picked her first urban novel “Monster” by Sanyika Shakur, After reading she became addicted and picked up every urban book she could. Cha’Bella Don won awards in school for her poetry she took it a step further and wrote a short short story which grabbed the attention of her teachers and they encouraged her to write. Cha’Bella Don took on the challenge of writing her first novel in 2003 but lost the passion after a tragedy occurred. Wasn’t until 2005 when she Met Author Mini Renee and they shared their goals and was told to never give up. Cha’Bella Don’s first short short titled “Dear Noire” was published in Noire’s online magazine.
