WARRIORS' GUILD
WELCOME to the Warriors' Guild
Warriors are more than fighters. We are engagers of war, lovers of glory and seekers of combat. The glory of the battle and the kill are what possess a warrior from the moment he engages in combat until the last blow has been struck. We are the Elite fighters of Terris.
Guild members learn the tactics and strategies needed to be victorious in battle. They can train in the ancient skills of one and two-handed weapons, and learn to fire missile weapons. The great craft of making weapons and armour can be learned here as well.
Our stronghold is located off the Way of the Warrior in the city of Tranos, in the realm of Terris.
Lord Zir, patron of war, watches over the mighty warriors.
"To be a warrior is to be the elite of the elite.
We are the vanguard of the people of Terris.
We kill with precision.
We honor victory, glory and combat.
Also we are the most adept drinkers in the land."

ThESE ARE the criteria for all new recruits, title request, and advancement.
Unregistered - No Title, Name remains in yellow
We want to show these people extra attention, help them, hunt with them, ask them if they plan to register. We are hosts and they are the guest in our homes. We wish them to stay and populate the lands, so we shall act in a matter to do so. Keep the Warrior Pride, embrace these individuals, and keep most talk IC and Role play. Maybe forge them a weapon or armor piece.
New Recruit with no Vanguard/Mentor - Conscript
Until a new recruit is given a Vanguard or approached by one, his/her title shall remain Conscript to let other Vanguards know that he/she needs assistance.
New Recruit under Vanguard Aid - Soldier
Once a recruit has been approached and is currently in the Vanguard program, he/she shall receive the Title of Soldier. This is to notify other Vanguards he/she is still in training and may need assistance occasionally.
Completion of Vanguard Training - Warrior & Self Title
Once a recruit has completed his training with a Vanguard, his Title is changed to Warrior, and he is to be quested by his Vanguard for a title. Once the quest is completed, then the Vanguard should message A GUILD HERO with the Title the recruit has chosen OR The vanguard has deemed worthy. Sometimes, people like it when someone would give them a title based on battle, or their learning experience... For instance, if they were good at leading a hunt, We'd name them.. Warlord ______ Citizen of Tranos. The role play is only limited to ourselves. ONE OF THE QuestS is to slay one of each of the Devils in the land. This is a time-honored tradition,
To become a Vanguard
The Vanguards are members of the Guild who mentor and pass down time honored traditions. This must be kept alive. In order to become a Vanguard you must be of Glvl 25, And AT LEAST the Age 25. It's not as much about levels, as it is about experience . Anyone who wishes to join us, ask a GUILD OFFICER or vanguard.

The Warriors' guild was started by a band of knights who were fed up with their guild. They sought to make a guild where combat and brotherhood dictated their affairs. The mighty Ulf and Etrigan took the leadership at first. They fought hard and long and eventually forged the foundation of what would become the greatest guild in the history of Terris. The mighty Zir saw fit to make the guild his own, as it operated upon much of the same principles that his temple was based upon. The glory of combat and adventure were what lead the guild to its present greatness. Like many GMs after him, Ulf also served as Blade of Zir.*
After Ulf and Etrigan, Forgrim became guild master. It's generally agreed that he was one of the greatest leaders in the history of the guild. During his first term as guild master, the entire guild rallied around him like none other. He showed the guild how great it could become. The warriors quickly became known as the elite fighters of Terris. Through unparalleled fighting skills and camaraderie they proved themselves to be the best at any endeavor they wished to embark upon. Forgrim still commands the highest regard and respect in the lands. His was a heart of fire and passion, best seen on the battlefield with Thunderbolt flashing through the air.
Chay was the first guild master to ever be elected by the guild. She ran against great warriors such as Halbringer, Draxx and Portal. Chay took the election in a landslide, with Halbringer a distant second. Under Chay, Arayana ran the mentor program she instituted while serving as a GL under Forgrim. Its main purpose was to teach warriors about the skills and techniques that would benefit them in their adventures through life. Chay created ten rooms to be added to the guild, including the bar. The warriors were the first to have Lord Zir's guiness and the new drink, Wyvern's Blood, within guild walls. Several new items weapons of great power - were created, as well as a few being gifted by Lady Kyria and Alexia for the Warriors. The tithe was the highest it had ever been, and through alliances made with other guilds, the Warriors had, and kept, control of the luck more than at any time in its history.
During this period, a battle broke out in the leadership. Arayana, claiming falsely that she co-ruled the guild, decided to try to wrest control of the guild with help from her husband, Taltos - from Chay. Arayana was fired from her position as GL by Chay and within two days set her plan into action. Most of the guild supported Chay, but Lord Zir grew angry with those who dared to try this action. In rebuke and disgust He withdrew his patronage and took with Him not only Chay, who was His Blade and His chosen, but the rest of His elders and Blades. He also destroyed the plans for the items and shop which had been planned.
In the aftermath, the warriors held an election and Arayana won by a margin of seven votes. Almost at once, she disappeared for a long while, only to have it rumored that she was murdered by someone. When the "murder" was blamed on another person wrongly, Forgrim came forward and said he had killed her. He then claimed the guild for his own again, saying that it was his by right, as he had slain the old GM. His rule lasted a matter of days. Kirala had taken over as guild patron and she put her foot down on the impending rebellion.
Kirala was reluctant to be the warriors patron, and claimed that she only did so because no one else would. Her first act as patron was to establish the Warrior Council. It was a council of guild elders who would run the guild as equals. Before setting the council in place, Kirala requested Chay to return to the guild to serve on the council and act as an aide to her. Chay accepted with the understanding that the Warrior Council was temporary. While in theory this may have sounded like a good idea, in practice the council accomplished very little. Two of the council sought to make themselves GM and plotted and schemed. Kirala found out their plans and decided to make Nerak the GM for a while. The guild was still in shambles compared to its former self. Many plotted to get Nerak - and Kirala - out of the position of leadership. However, none succeeded.
During her special assignment to Kirala, Chay was asked to restart the mentor program. She started from scratch and created the Vanguard Program. The first vanguards chosen were the elite of the guild and best represented what it meant to be a warrior of the old ways. For the first time since Zir's leaving, the guild began to find its pride again in the true path of the warrior. When Chay left, she passed on the position of Head Vanguard to Halbringer.
Raekwon was to be the next guild master. He began to get the guild back together. The warriors were once again moving in the proper directions, but due to disagreements with Kirala as to what he was to do with the guild from there, he resigned. Halbringer was the next to step up to the challenge of leading this great guild back to glory. Again, he too met resistance from Kirala and, utterly frustrated, he also resigned.
Ladyhawk was the next GM, under Kirala's patronage. During this era, many left. They had lost their faith in the guild, and were quite unhappy with those who led them. Halbringer saw fit to make a stand, denouncing them, belittling them. These actions ultimately got him kicked out of the guild. While his intentions may have been good, his methods were lacking. He found fault, but didnt suggest what would have been better. However, he did manage to stir up a bloody hornets nest that eventually led to the resignation of both Ladyhawk and Kirala.
Others, such as Herb, tried to calm the situation, but shortly before Kirala and Ladyhawk resigned, Herb requested to be released from the guild. When they asked him why, he did not really answer, but they knew the reason. They both left the guild before he could and there he stays.
Immediately after these events, much was uncertain, until Tick was appointed as the new leader. Not a single warrior contested this. From this point on, the warriors would have no more elections. Guild masters were and still are, chosen by Zir. Tick managed to unite the guild behind him, and he was able to convince Lord Zir to return to us. He had restored the guild to its former glory, and had begun constructing his Iron Fist to make sure the warriors will always remain strong.
At the same time Herb assumed command of the vanguards. He developed the basis for the third phase of the vanguard system. Due to unforseen circumstances, Herb was unable to see the new program implemented as Head Vanguard, and he passed the leadership of the vanguards down to Kor. After Kor, Azeroth was the new Head Vanguard.
After Tick's long leadership, Tol_Kajjir was appointed as guild master. He ran the guild with a steady and wise hand, having Stil, Hanson, Kill and Azeroth as his GLs. Stil was the next GM, and then Hanson. The guild enjoyed another powerful era, with a clear direction and strong leadership. When Hanson retired from the position, Aquistar became the next guild master.
Eventually, Aquistar seemed to have been called away and Stil assumed temporary control of the guild, in order to give it some leadership. After a matter of days, Stil ascended to hero status, leaving a power vacuum. Alcestis and Kazak went to Axx, who was now Immortal of Chaos, but maintained close ties with the warriors, and asked him to appoint someone. He immediately appointed them joint-guild masters, to their surprise.
By this point, the guild once again needed a huge amount of effort to get it energized again. The new guild masters did what they could to continue the strong traditions of their guild, especially against the attacks of the dark elves. This long-running battle resulted in the warriors blowing up their own guild to smithereens, burying their enemies in the rubble. This was a desperate master-stroke, proving that the warriors need nothing but their own spirits to survive.
Unfortunately, in the explosion, Kazak was buried under the guild and assumed dead. Alcestis went into deep mourning for her friend, but the combination of Lukebo and Hermes as GLs and Alcestis as GM, created a powerful triumvirate and they continued to work on rebuilding the pride of the warriors. Lukebo and Hermes worked tirelessly to improve the Vanguard Program.
Kazak returned as a hero, and he and Alcestis created a new stronghold which put a great deal of focus on remembering those who had gone before, and building the future on the shoulders of strong traditions.
Eventually, Alcestis knew she was losing her energy as guild master. Membership waned once again, and Hermes took over as guild master for a while, until Avengela was appointed. Alcestis was the next warrior to ascend as hero.
Today, the guild is filling up with warriors once again. The leadership is secure and disagreements are rare. We have learned from the experiences of those who went before us and those of us who are old enough to remember those days want to bring the best of them with us. To this day, the warriors have no need of a charter and no desire for any more elections. To us, elections are poison. If we cannot accept our leaders appointed by Zir then we need to look at ourselves carefully. And if our officers cannot lead us adequately, they too must be prepared to be honest with themselves and with the guild.
The good of the guild is above any individual self-interest or desire. The warriors are an elite force. Loyalty, pride and the desire to be the best fighters in the lands will keep us so.
LONG MAY IT BE SO!
* Although warriors tend to follow Zir, it should be noted that this is not a requirement and those who do not worship Zir have every right to become guild leaders.

Warrior's Guild >> Vanguard Program
This is the format/criteria for all new recruits, title request, and advancement.
Guild Master Stil has implanted this. Until a new recruit is given a Vanguard or approached by one, his/her title shall remain Conscript to let other Vanguards know that he/she needs assistance.
Once a recruit has completed his training with a Vanguard, his Title is changed to Warrior, and he is to be quested by his Vanguard for a title. Once the quest is completed, then the Vanguard should message Stil with the Title the recruit has chosen. OR The vanguard has deemed worthy. Sometimes, people like it when someone would give them a title based on battle, or their learning experience... For instance, if they were good at leading a hunt, We'd name them.. Warlord ______ Citizen of Tranos. The role play is only limited to ourselves. The Quest is to slay one of each of the Devils in the land. This is a time-honored tradition, and we will keep to it.
The Vanguards are members of the Guild who mentor and pass down time honored traditions. This must be kept alive. In order to become a Vanguard you must be of Glvl 25, And the Age 25. Since you start at 18yrs old, and every 3weeks or so is 1 IC year, this gives you enough time to see some history happen, and keep up with the history that has been passed down. It's not as much about levels, as it is about experience being a Vanguard. Anyone who wishes to join us, ask any GO, or Vanguard.
