Class Info
First year web design students spend a year learning the elements of design: information, interaction, and presentation.
Working individually and as teams, they critique, edit, create, and publish sites which gains them real-life skills they can immediately use in the work world.
Whether for themselves, friends, family, or an exmployer, students will be able to produce and maintain a minimal front-end site. Database connectivity, multi-media production, and scripting are not covered in this course.
Students have designed and created a shadow web site for West Elk High School. Please take a look and give them feedback so they can become better designers.
This shadow site is not meant to replace the existing site, only give the students a clean slate from which to design their assigned areas of content.
Fall Play
West Elk Play Productions chose the play "Scaramouche" for the 2009 Fall Play. Come along with Brandon and Keysto as their student web site takes you into the world of 1789 revolutionary France.
Patriot Singers
West Elk has a long tradition of excellence in the arts. Jennifer, Kaylee, and Morgan have built a student site to showcase this group of aspiring vocalists.
