Solihull College 2005-2006 Title: " Body language and Art "
Final Major Project
The subject matter is based on "Body language" and the art of stop motion, a theme that has influenced many artists in diverse art genre such as: Dance, theatre, photography, painting and sculpture.
The theme furnishes us with new ways of seeing our eveyday world, our body's movements and new ways of making perception visible.
I was more interested in the emotional resonance of an event than the event itself, movements that escape the notice of others most of the time. That's what i was trying to show and explore through my experiments: How movement can be perceived, conceived and interpreted by the one who receives it. The work comproise seven main strands:
* video installation work ( 3minutes )
* A number of mix media paintings and drawings
* A number of experimenta works from photographs taken during performance presented on A1 sheets
* Initial ideas sheet and "maquette" of the project's design
* Different sketchbooks work
* Internet research ideas and documents (A4 file)
* Leaflets to hand out for viewers comments
