Before becoming a makeup artist, Amy had dreams of becoming a cartoonist. Since she was little she was always a top student in every art class, even excelling so much that she became President of the Art and Drama club in school. She would organize art shows and her art teachers would ask her for advice in shaping the art curriculum for the year. After highschool it seemed logical for Amy to go to art school, but college proved to be a bit too expensive for her to pursue. Instead, she turned to something she had previously not considered could be a career: makeup artistry. Since then she has not looked back!
Amy has been working as a makeup artist all over the country for almost 10 years. Starting out in the birthplace of rock-n-roll in Memphis, working for local modeling agencies, and student photographers, she quickly developed a sizable portfolio and found herself moving to the northwest to further her career.
The next few years took her from the northwest to the northeast and then down to the beaches of Florida all in the pursuit of makeup. Eventually, Amy found herself missing the beauty and artistic freedom of the northwest. She ended up moving and settling in Seattle where she still resides today.
Amy has had the opportunity of working with a many great and talented individuals. She loves everything about her career and gets tremendous satisfaction from making people beautiful. Nothing excites her more than the 'transformation' that makeup can achieve whether it is basic beauty makeup or special fx makeup. Amy is completely self-taught and is constantly working to refine her skills.
Aside from makeup, Amy also models, is an avid videogamer, advocate for animal rights, and karaoke/RockBand 2 junkie.
