SM Sains Hulu Selangor (SEMASHUR), Malaysia is proud to introduce Velospeed SIC team that won the prestigious F1 in School Technology Challenge for 2010. The championship is an annual event with the key objective to expose participating schools and students on F1 team development, marketing and technology management. Amongst others, the competition helps students learning on Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) in order to design and manufacture CO2 (carbon dioxide) powered model racing cars, developing team work, discipline and stress management as well as promoting, presenting and marketing the team – in which are key attributes for the scoring. The annual event is promoted by Petronas since 2005 and ever since gained the encouraging participants from schools nationwide. SEMASHUR’s Velospeed F1 team is the school’s first entrance in the competition and as a result of high determination to excel and to win, bagged 4 out of 8 awards in the competition and emerged as the overall champion.
Velospeed SIC is given the honour to represent Malaysia for the World F1 in School Technology Championship 2011 that will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 17th September 2011 until 25th September 2011.
