March 19, 2011, 6:00 - 9:30 PM, the UVA Hospital Auxiliary & the UVA Cancer Center Board are hosting a benefit for Flourish, Positive Image Boutique that will be located in the new Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center. Invitations are available through Volunteer Services,

Recognizing the unique challenges to self-image presented by cancer treatment, we are opening a "one-stop shop," catering to male and female patients, as well as visitors and staff. This shop will offer hard-to-find specialized cancer products, as well as a variety of gift shop items. This unique shop will not only provide a convenient, dignified and supportive setting in which to shop but will serve all patients, regardless of ability to pay.
At the benefit you will be treated to live music, dancing, a buffet, a tour of the new Cancer Center and our silent auction. Any amount donated over the valued price of the item will be considered a tax deductible contribution. If you would prefer to donate directly, a basket will be available for donations.
100% of the proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Positive Image Boutique.

WELCOME TO A PREVIEW OF THE SILENT AUCTION
The silent auction on March 19, will benefit Flourish, Positive Image Boutique in the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center. Proceeds from the Silent Auction, together with Sponsorships, Ticket Sales and Donations, will help to create Flourish. Bidding will take place the night of the benefit. Tickets to the benefit are $150 per person. Call Volunteer Services, 434-924-5251, to receive an invitation.
The evening event will be 6:00 - 9:30 PM. When guests arrive and check in, they will receive a program along with a bid number for the silent auction. Tour the gorgeous new facility while checking your Silent Auction bids on the 2nd floor. Please bid early as the auction will close at 8:15 PM.
After the Silent Auction closes, volunteers will compose the list of top bids and post the names of the winners by the elevator. At 9:00 PM, auction checkout begins. Winning bidders may check out and receive their winnings at the silent auction tables on the 2nd floor.
