Anahata Bhakti
All that is most true, joyful, alive and authentic flows from my beating heart. As the blood flows out, enlivening every cell in the body, and then returns for the life-giving oxygen only to flow out again, so do my actions, intentions, words and thoughts travel out into the world and back to me.
Anahata, the Sanskrit word for the soul center or chakra of the heart. Bhakti is sacred, ecstatic devotion. The path of love is not an abstract ideal, but an ongoing choice to act in expansiveness, awareness, kindness and compassion.
My work, my life, my play comes from the heart. As the heart is not only the emotional center of the body, but the physical one as well, so does my work honor the body in all its wonder, intelligence, miracle.
