A canon of writing that spans the genre from ghost stories, sexual ravening, vampires, demons, despoilment, disdain and more than a touch of gibbet-humour. About author Joz Rhodes

Joz Rhodes is still held responsible for the break-up of Pangaea and has continued to create havoc across the æons. Until settling, for now at least, in a once-mining village in South Yorkshire, England, that is intimately linked to both literature and horror: its towering castle inspired Walter Scott to write his classic, “Ivanhoe” and the late, great Donald Pleasance spent childhood years living in the (still extant) Station Master’s house, where his father worked.

Joz insulates the walls of his house with row upon row of books and lives surrounded by a menagerie of furry, fanged creatures, weird, disturbing objects and even stranger, morbidly amusing fantasies.

Throughout his varied past, he has been employed in a number of guises; from bookshop assistant/manager through disability mentor to football steward (where he is also revered as the Messiah), gathering along the way a million and one friends and acquaintances. He spends a good deal of free time haunting his local cinema, jamming his head inside the biggest speakers at any available gig or transferring a wealth of macabre tales from æther to page. And wishes to spend this and the next millennium perverting the sensibilities of the world’s discerning population with unsettling outpourings from the darkest bilges of his unspeakably fervid mind.

He is also the nicest man you could ever meet.
