Hello guys! We finally have our schedule up!
Please go to this linkto go take a look! Thanks!
Okay so since we are expecting turnout to be rather small this year, this is going to be pretty basic. There will be two categories.
Novice- You have never won anything before.
Journeyman- You have won something.
Doesn't get more basic than that. If we have to add Juniors (13 and under) or Master (You're amazing), then we will, but we don't think it will be necessary.
If we have enough entries in both sections, there will be a skit portion and a walk-on portion.
Skit rules- Skits are limited to a maximum of 3 minutes. Remember, less is more. All skit content must be PG-13 or less. Nothing overtly sexual, hardcore profanity, etc. We am trusting you guys. If the rating rules are broken, you will be disqualified and asked to leave the stage even if your skit is not over. If you have ANY questions about what is acceptable, please don't hesitate to ask us.
If you want to prerecord your skit, that is fine. Just bring us a CD and we will play it for you. It must be a 1 track CD.
Walk-ons: Walk-ons are limited to 30 seconds. You can pose, show off your costume, etc. You will not be able to submit a CD for a walk-on.
If you did not make your costume, you may enter the skit contest and be judged on performance only. You can do a walk-on too, but you won't be judged for anything. If you did make your costume, you can either do a walk-on and be judged for your costume, or do a skit and be judged on your costume and skit.
All skits WILL be judged on performance. All people entering in craftsmanship MUST do a walk-on if they do not want to do a skit.
To enter in craftsmanship, you must have made at least 50% of your costume. Either you could have made it from scratch, or altered articles of clothing that you bought. You MUST bring a reference picture.
We highly suggest to everyone that is interested to pre-register. This will really help us out with numbers and awards. There will be registration at the con as well, but please, pre-register.
When you arrive at the con there will be times posted for cosplay contest contestants to either register or sign in if they registered online. There you will sign up for a judging time if you are entering craftsmanship. We will meet 30 minutes before the contest to explain everything that we need to for the contestants.
If we have less than 4 skits and 5 costumes pre-registered, everyone can still preform if they want, but there will probably not be any awards given out. Again, this is all based on the amount of entries. If we have less than three skits or walk ons, then we will not be doing the Cosplay Contest.. So please pre-register!
Pre-registration will be open until MARCH 30TH!!!!
This deadline can possibly be extended, but notice will be given beforehand.
Here are the forms guys:

Some of the proceeds will go to the Red Cross for the relief efforts in Haiti since we have amember who currently has family who is dealing with this crisis. We also thought it was the most appropriate. We are also looking for cosplayers to auction off. No naughty things though buyers!!
