To promote a world missions view, especially among churches of African descent, instructing its participating members in modeling Christ’s presence in the World. To actively link and plant churches, forming an alliance committed to the sending and supporting of missionaries and other outreach endeavors both locally and internationally, and providing a Christ-centered approach to racial reconciliation that is biblically sound, and socially just.
Urban & Global Mission Alliance, Inc. (UGMA) ,established in 1998, is a not-for-profit Christian Alliance of churches committed to the spreading of the Gospel both in local urban centers and the world.

In 1995, while still Senior Pastor of Bethel Gospel Assembly, the late Bishop Dr. Ezra Nehemiah Williams founded the Urban & Global Mission Alliance, Inc. (UGMA). Besides being an active urban ministry in the Harlem community, Bethel Gospel Assembly has active missions interests in countries such as Zambia, India, Nigeria, Israel, Aruba, Cameroon, Albania, St. Vincent and South Africa.
As the General Superintendent of UGMA, Bishop Williams understood the potential that existed when the body of Christ unified under a common banner for a common cause. UGMA is built upon the directives of God’s call to “Go into all the world and make disciples of all people groups”. UGMA is a not-for-profit Christian organization formed out of a burden to foster growth in the Christian faith and to exemplify the unity of God through an Alliance of churches committed to the spreading of the Gospel both in local urban centers and the world. UGMA’s objective is to aggressively engage in the discipling of men and women in fulfilling the scriptural mandate of Matthew 28:18-20.
The Urban and Global Missions Alliance has been conducting Medical / Dental missions since 2000. The organization’s goal is to share the love of Jesus through the provision of medical and dental services to those who do not have access to basic medical and dental care. Teams of volunteer medical professionals and lay people deliver medical services to the underserved areas of the world.
To date, UGMA teams have served in Venezuela, Nigeria, South Africa, Albania, and the Dominican Republic, reaching thousands of people with the love of Christ, and with great joy we have embraced our assignment to fulfill the Great Commission.
On behalf of the teeming masses that need the services that we will deliver, we are asking you to participate in the effort by doing whatever you can to alleviate the suffering of those less fortunate than you. You can do this by donating medical supplies of all kinds; making monetary contributions to this relief effort; or sponsoring a person who can assist in the delivery of medical care. We are a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and will provide documented records for your contribution upon your request.
