Quality
Cost
Cost benefits can be gained through multiple faucets throughout the manufacturing process:
Faster Occupancy = Generating Revenue $ooner
Reduced on-site construction wages
Controlled Factory Construction Process
Concurrent Construction Processes speeds up entire construction timeline
Minimize Weather Delays
Project Timeline
The project timeline for Creech AFB Medical Aid Station and Dental Clinic demonstrate the ability to get a project from concept to completion in 9 months. Typical site built construction can take from 12 to 18 months from concept to completion. The time savings come from the design-build concept as well as simultaneous construction of the building in conjunction with the site and foundation work.
Risk
Financial Risk and Security Risk can be minimized through the component construction method depending on the client's needs:
The Controlled Factory Construction Process inherently reduces fianicial risk and time delay:
- MinimizesWeather Delays while buildings are built in factory
- Minimize construction period reduces Environment of Care (EOC) issues
Security Risk can be minimized by limiting the on-site construction time at locations such as:
- Remote Construction Sites
- Hostile Construction Sites
LEED Points Inherent to Component Construction
The factory-controlled component method of construction is conducive to readily achieving LEED certification, between 22 to 52 point. The following list demonstrates the 22 Inherent LEED Points by using the factory-controlled component method of construction. The list also demonstrates the additional 32 Attainable LEED Points easily attained depending on the customers’ needs and requirements. The method construction can range from 22 to 532 points without significant additional upfront cost while saving in the life -cycle cost of the building.
