CHAPTER ONE
W hen I first discovered the possibility that it could ever be a chance that we would have a Black president in our time was just after my first child was born by Ashley a black Mexican whose Mexicana grandparents felt like her true identity had been stolen by her father who was a black basketball player in the pros who married her mother a full blooded Mexicana. Ashley always had a problem with her identity since it was hard for her grandparents to accept her because of their identity crisis in the family with a half-breed black grandchild as they would always say.
I was just about to finish college and enter into a whole new world of global competition. Because I am black myself her grandparents really begin to further distant themselves from her, nevertheless have a baby by a black guy would make things way harder. My parents were separated and my mother was raising me in a single family unit in Robert Taylor Homes.
CHAPTER FOUR
A s I went to talk to the president in the back of Air Force One. I notice when I headed towards the back cabin that the Black Light was on and it was quiet. There was a Glow in the dark 70s posters of the Zodiac Signs on the Wall. I turned to my left and I heard Barry Whites song Just the Way You Are playing--as the first lady lay across the presidents shirt upon his chest, as they took a nap. I recognized that I had actually encountered a private moment of the president.
When I was in the presidential meeting cabin the Video Music Awards was on and Kanye West came on the stage and interrupted Taylor Swift speech for receiving the Video of the Year Award. When the president woke just before our landing he looked at the replay on the evening news and said,
"He's a Jack Ass! She seems to be a very nice young lady." The President said.
