Dale began his professional theatre career in 1977 at San Diego's Starlight Musical Theatre in The Desert Song. Since then he's performed in Joe Turner's Come and Gone, White Linen and Toys in the Attic at the Old Globe Theatre, Inspecting Carol at Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Ain't Misbehavin' at Cincinnati Playhouse, Once On This Island at Virginia Stage Company, A Christmas Carol and Death of a Miner at San Diego Rep, Harold Pinter's No Man's Land and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest at the Marquis Public Theatre, Ceremonies In Dark Old Men at the Human i Theatre, Woyzeck at Sledgehammer Theatre, The Secret Garden and Big River at Sacramento Music Circus, My One and Only and Showboat at Starlight Musical Theatre. Mr. Turner dedicates all of his performances to his mother... "Hey Mudeah! Here come dat man!" All told, Dale has performed in over 50 shows throughout the U.S. (Useless trivia... DeeTee has starred in Ain't Misbehavin' regionally nine times!)
Mr. Turner has over 60 National Commercials to his name including one spot with the U.S. Army that earned him Advertising Age Magazine's Best Commercial Actor award in 2004.
As a vocalist, Dale was lead singer and percussionist for the R&B bands, The Midnight Hour and Upside de Head in the early 90's. He has sung backup in recording sessions as well as concerts for Chris Brown, Poison, Barry Manilow, Helen Reddy, Tramaine Hawkins and the Rickey Grundy Chorale.
