The Associate of Applied Business in Accounting will provide students with a technical curriculum in a field that is universally recognized as integral to business and industry.
In addition, the program will teach general education courses appropriate to writing, speaking, teamwork, and socially acceptable behavior. It is the programs mission to prepare students to think in terms of the how and why of all aspects of financial records keeping, to instill the importance of ethics and accuracy in speaking, writing, and data, and to stress the importance of continuous professional development.
The program teaches specialized accounting skills through theory and practice, and seeks to educate the student in design, maintenance, and utilization of a financial records system. Broad-based business classes enhance the students skills and prepare them for accounting positions such as accounts receivables, accounts payable, full-charge bookkeeper, inventory control, and other administrative positions.
The program also includes specialized computer software instruction such as database management, spreadsheet applications, desktop publishing, and graphic presentations, which are covered using the International Computer Drivers License (ICDL) program. Proficiency can result in receiving internationally recognized certifications in each component.

It is the goal of the program to prepare students with appropriate computer skills while helping them develop self-confidence and self-esteem. Verbal and written communication skills are stressed along with organization, personnel, and administrative skills. Finally, it is our goal to instill respect for the law and ethics that are important to the business community.
The program is designed with strong emphasis on word processing and other specialized computer software such as database management, spreadsheet applications, desktop publishing, and graphic presentations, which are covered using the International Computer Drivers License (ICDL) program. Proficiency can result in receiving internationally recognized certifications in each component.
Additional business-related coursework provides a thorough background for careers in business in positions such as diverse administrative assisting and office management positions.

In this online program students will focus on graphic design theory and techniques which can support a professional career as a graphic designer or graphic artist.
Students will learn the basics of art, color theory, format, design, digital publishing, and how these are used in the corporate and business world.
This program can help develop creative talents to produce effective print and multimedia designs in a practical career. Program features include a curriculum taught by industry professionals that utilizes classroom lectures, group forums, and hand-on desktop exercises.
Students will practice within industry-specific graphic design software.
Students successfully completing the program will have developed a portfolio which may be presented to prospective employers.

The American Association of Medical Assistants defines Medical Assistants as persons who are, allied health professionals whose practice it is to function as a member of the health care delivery team and perform administrative and clinical procedures.
This associate degree program will provide the opportunity for students to learn to perform in at least minimum entry-level positions in medical facilities such as physicians, chiropractors, and podiatrists offices or clinics. Positions available will generally fall into either the front office (administrative) or the clinical areas of a practice.
Administration instruction in appointment scheduling, preparing and maintaining patient and other records, patient and insurance billing, transcription, as well as a variety of computer skills are presented.
Clinical instruction will include taking medical histories, vital signs, assisting the practitioner during patient examinations and minor surgeries, collect and prepare laboratory specimens, and perform basic lab tests.
Special training in phlebotomy, EKG, and first aid are also included.
Program completion requires a 160-hour externship in an off-campus medical facility. This externship is included within the two academic years or eight quarters.

Included are fundamental office-related basics, i.e. non-clinical, found in the Medical Assisting program.

Graduates are prepared to pursue medical office careers in offices and clinics, urgent-care offices, private practice, insurance, billing, billing and coding, and medical departments in industry and corporations.

This program teaches important and specialized accounting skills through theory and practice. Through computer courses included in the curriculum, students realize the role the computer and data processing plays as they relate to the accounting profession.
To pursue the accounting program, students must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
Graduates will be prepared for entry-level positions in such fields as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll clerk, and bank teller.
Also included is working through a series of tutorials based on the Microsoft Office Suite. Successful completion culminates in an opportunity to sit for the ICDL (International Computer Drivers License) certification.
All courses meet on campus Monday through Thursday in the day and evening sessions and are in session for approximately 16 hours per week.
Students are eligible for federal financial assistance if they qualify.
The complete program can be finished in 4 twelve-week quarters, or 48 weeks.

Trumbull Business College's medical coding and billing program is designed for current healthcare professionals who want to upgrade their skills, or those without healthcare experience who wish to select a new healthcare career direction.
To pursue the coding and billing program, students must have at least a high school diploma or GED. Students with good computer, math, writing skills, and some healthcare office experience will be the most successful.
Some of the technical courses included in the program are Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology, Electronic Medical Records, ICD-9 and CPT/HCPCS coding, Disease Pathology/Lab Tests, and Health Claims Examining. Covered within those courses are the Integumentary System, the Musculoskeletal System, the Respiratory System, the Cardiovascular System, the Digestive System, the Urinary and Male Genitourinary System, Gynecology and Obstetrics, the Endocrine and Nervous Systems, Eye and Ocular, Pathology and Laboratory, Anesthesia, and Surgery.

The Career Services Office actively assists each graduate in a variety of ways. Before referral to employers, a graduate's record is reviewed for attendance, punctuality, ability to learn, adaptability, and acceptance of responsibility. Each graduate is ultimately responsible for his or her own job search.
A continuing follow-up program is an essential part of graduate placement; therefore, we try to maintain close contact with our graduates until employment is secured.
