Salute Level 1 and Level 2 Medium to High Intensity
Postures for every level from beginer to advanced. Start with Salute One and progress to Salute Two. Mixed level classes with postures that are challenging, but easy to understand. Hatha (balance of opposites) is glowing combining movement and breath geared toward building heat. Through the heat of the sun you will generate increased flexability, stamina and burn away stress. Each class builds upon the previous one throughout the month with a goal in mind.

Mat Pilates Medium to High Intensity
Pilates primarily aims to work the core muscles. This includes the stomach and lower back, as well as the pelvic muscles, buttocks, thighs and spine. By working on the core, you can attain better posture, breathe easier and better, improve your balance, control the flow of air and blood within the body and improve your concentration. Core Pilates exercises do not consist of traditional abdominal work with a lot of repetition. Instead, they are more akin to yoga, where you hold a single pose or movement throughout its full range.
Yoga With Weights Very High Intensity
Taught by certified Personal Trainers and Yoga Instructors: tone and sculpt your entire body combining light weights, traditional postures, fun and new routines each week. Sun Salute Yoga Owner Troy has traveled to India and Bali, teaching and learning as much as he can from his Yoga path. Master Teacher Troy Cox, creator of the Total Engagement Concept™ system, a natural optimization of all systems of our being technique that combines the deeper understandings of Yoga philosophy with Personal Training exercise techniques and Yogic postures, martial arts concepts and movements, mental understanding of Yoga Nidra therapy unblocking the mind, and a detailed approach to structural alignment, with the trainings of the Amrit Method of meditation in motion, leads his students to a ‘fine tuning’ of all their facilities.

Troy has traveled the world and taught Yoga. He has studied with top Yoga and energy workers from many walks of life. Studying meditation and Yoga for 16 years, he worked in Orange County California as a Personal Trainer and Yoga Instructor at a variety of locations, from multi-million dollar private spa and fitness facilities to health clubs to private gardens and public parks. He has trained with established Western Yoga and Meditation teachers and authentic award winning originators of Yoga in the East. He has trained hundreds of weight loss clients to their goals, and professional athletes to enhanced performance in their fields. His specialty is stress reduction and homeostasis training. Troy loves to run marathons, travel, and create art to create his own personal balance.
Troy believes that the mind and body connection directly affects a person’s overall wellness. While lifestyle and the drive to succeed is important, finding balance and reducing stress are equally important. Troy shares his wealth of fitness knowledge and stress reducing techniques in his yoga classes and personal training sessions. His specialty is Yoga Nidra, or guided yoga into a state of complete relaxation, teaching the benefits, tips and tools to a stress reduced life.
Yoga
Yoga is a passion that I discovered quite by accident and in a later part of my life. It is the bridge between working with my and others bodies to live a healthy life and looking at the mind and how much it affects our being. It is the answer to all the questions I have about how the human mechanism works. I am impassioned every time I take a class and excited every time I teach a class.
After experiencing a personal tragedy and loss I moved to an island off the Florida Keys for a year to escape from reality. After returning to ‘society’ and a regular job and existence I was looking for a way to calm my mind and reduce the stress in my life when I was attracted to a Meditation teacher in Florida, Diane Ross. Working with her ‘Natural Meditation’ technique and her loving presence changed my life for the positive and opened me up to seeking a higher purpose in my being.
After another trying period in my life, I decided to dedicate myself to sharing my health knowledge and passion with others when someone suggested I try Yoga. It brought together all the hard work I had been putting into my health at the gym, the relaxation, stress reduction and mental clarity I received from meditation training. It was a light bulb.
I have since fallen in love with Yoga and all the medical benefits it offers. I am Amrit Yoga Master Trained and have taken classes with Shiva Rea, Beth Shaw, Core Power Yoga, studying Hatha Flow, Ashtanga, Bikrams, and Kundalini styles. I am dedicating myself to on going education in this sacred arts and sharing the constantly evolving passion with the world.
Dina
Dina has been studying yoga since 2000 and holds certifications in RYT-200 from Yoga Works and in personal training from ISSA. She teaches an empowering yoga practice that is both healing and fun. She also incorporates Ayurveda and subtle body concepts into her yoga practice and teachings. She is a Certified Reiki Master Teacher and is a Certified Spiritual Healer.
Sasha
Music, movement and spirituality have always been a big part of Sasha's life. She grew up singing, dancing and even meditating. However, until she discovered yoga singing, dancing, and meditation were separate practices. One for the mind, one for the body and one for the breath. In 2001 she took her first official yoga class. She was amazed at the way yoga unified the mind, body and the breath. It wasn't long before she started noticing the effects that yoga had on her mental clarity, her strength and balance, and the ways in which it benefited her relationships. This began what quickly became a dedicated yoga practice of asana several days a week as well as studying yogic philosophy and lifestyle.
After 6 years of practicing her main yoga teacher recommended that she consider teaching. In 2007 she completed the Yogaworks 200 hour teacher training program. The program was such a transformational experience for her that once it was finished she made a life changing decision and quit her corporate job and dedicate her time to yoga. She continued her training for another 300 hours through Yogaworks in L.A. where she mentored with Para Yoga master teacher, Jeanne Heileman and also studied under such accomplished teachers as, Annie Carpenter & Lisa Walford. After over 4 years of teaching experience and continuing education she now holds the highest designation recognized by Yoga Alliance, ERYT500.
Sasha’s teaching style is both nurturing and powerful. Her classes are safe, gentle and transformative. She incorporates music, sound healing, aromatherapy, light massage and hands on adjustments to create a complete sensory experience that leaves you feeling relaxed and renewed!
Claire
Claire began her journey into yoga and fitness after living in Mammoth Lakes, CA. She worked for Mammoth Mountain as their first snowboard host assisting ski patrol. After her return to Southern California, she needed the same kind of meditation that snowboarding offered...a new way to live in the moment. This was when she discovered yoga and Pilates; two formats that offered her mind peace and clarity from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Claire is certified as a Personal Trainer, Yoga and Pilates, Spin, Weight Training, Aqua and Zumba. Claire is fluent in Spanish. and has traveled South America and Europe on personal quests of discovery.
