History with its flickering lamp stumbles along the trail of the past, trying to reconstruct its scenes, to revive its echoes, and kindle with pale gleams the passion of former days. ~ Winston Churchill
Tracing your family tree can take real dedication and patience, it can take anything from a few days to years to trace just one person, but once you get started it becomes very addictive.
The hardest part is knowing what to look for and thats where I come in.
I offer several different searches from a single person to a direct line of 8 or more generations, I also offer family history research which delves a little deeper than just names and dates, if the information is available I will try my hardest to discover it.
I am also happy to provide you with copies of BMD certificates, census records and any other documentation.
Please check out the rest of my website for more information about me, prices and links on genealogy.
A Little About Me:
My name is Tracy and I come from Somerset UK, I started my family tree
6 years ago, it all started when I pointed out a house to my dad that I had always loved and he told me it was where my granddad was born.
So then I got curious as to his background and set out to find out all I could about my dads family, I have taken his tree back to the 1700's and have various paperwork, photos and have even found some living relatives along the way.
I love visiting the old houses in the villages and towns that my ancesters lived in, aswell as going around the cemetries to find their graves, the more I delved into my family history the more addictive it became.
I have also started the other side of my fathers family tree as well as both sides of my mothers, the names I have searched in my own tree are Curtis (of Tiverton, Devon), Barrington (of Tiverton, Devon), Whites (of Chard, Somerset). Yeoman (of Newton Abbot, Devon), Jury (of Tavistock, Devon) and I am currently searching Dyer and Harris (both of Ilminster, Somerset).
I have taken numerous courses on family tree research and geneaology, including Getting back to 1837, Pre 1837 and an advanced course.
Its amazing what you can find out, sometimes very unexpected information, for example two of the lines in my trees have muderers in them and one of those goes back to the 1400's, I do enjoy finding out everything about their lives.
