The purpose of Sigma Kappa Sorority is to provide women lifelong opportunities and support for social, intellectual, and spiritual development by bringing women together to positively impact our communities.
"The reason I chose Sigma Kappa was because I wanted to become more actively involved and make the most of my time in college. I had friends at other colleges who were in Greek Life, and I loved hearing them talk about their respective fraternities and sororities, and the bonds that they had with their brothers and sisters. It made me realize that I wanted something like that as well, and more importantly, the sisters that I never had growing up. At school, I had always heard great things about the Sigma Kappas on campus my freshman year. After attending a recruitment party and hearing about their philanthropies, values, and their sisterhood, I knew that I belonged. My time in Sigma Kappa has given me a family of sisters who I know will always be there for me and more importantly they have helped me grow as a person. Since the first time I met the sisters, I have felt such a connection with them and I know that looking back, I will always be proud of my decision to become a Sigma Kappa."

"I chose Sigma Kappa because I love what this sorority stands for. I immediately fell in love with these amazing women, and I knew that this was something I had to have in my life. Now I have more than just friendships. With these women, I have sisters. It's an inexplicable bond that I couldn't live without.."
