Necessity. The Mother of Invention
As a mother of five swim kids (and nearly twice as many goggles) it was hard to keep from having them misplaced ... constantly! Like many of my peers, we were writing names on them with a Sharpie®, only to have the sunscreen, being the solvent that it is, remove our efforts by the end of the week. During a swimmeet, where one of my daughters had a particularly popular style and color of goggles, I cut off a piece of the straw I was drinking from and slid it up the goggle strap. Surely nobody would mistake them for their own with a straw on the strap. Goal accomplished! We made it through the meet with our goggles.

Okay, so we held on to the goggles, but my daughter was no more going to wear a straw on her goggle strap than swim across the Arctic Ocean. From that day on, we have worked hard to refine our idea. We now have an understated, clear, flexible tube that slides up your goggle strap. The tube is not felt by the swimmer and does not interfere with the strap's grip. Our gogglitz can be personalized with the swimmer's name plus their swimteam, pool or favorite phrase. We have tried to meet the needs of both the parents, who are buying the goggles and don't want to replace them, and the swimmers, who are concerned that what they are wearing is "cool."
