TOP SHOW & BAND FEATURING LEON ON LEAD GUITAR
For most of his life, Leon Prim has been on a journey of musical discovery. Born and raised in Alabama, Leon is the the third of eight siblings. He received his first guitar at the age of six and carried it around everywhere he went. One day, Leon met a musician by the name of Glenn Hockaday who would go on to teach him to play the guitar. Leon's ambitious spirit and humbleness quickly gained him experience on the guitar and a passion for music. Inevitably, Leon and Glenn became partners to form the dynamic duo Hock-N-Top which they later renamed Top Show & Band.
They have traveled across the country from Alabama to Washington, D.C. as well as New Orleans own Bourbon Street to California and back all the while recording and performing in concerts. Leon's passion grew into him writing, learning and performing songs in a wide range of styles including Blues, R&B, Reggae, Rock and Gospel.
He has performed wherever lovers of music and bands gather from cruise ships, hotels, bars and clubs to malls, festivals and charity events as well as becoming the lead guitar player at his home church. Leon has gone on to pursue his musical endeavors with prominent musicians and continues to shine happiness in the lives of anyone who will listen.
