Who Are We?
A Taste of Ohio Foods began as a dream of founder, Rahneia Shafeek, many, many years ago.
Having grown up eating her favorite snack food, once grown, she regularly made the trip home from whatever state she lived in to load up the car with snacks for her family and friends. She dreamed of one day having her favorite eats readily available.
In 2001, she met partner, Judith Fitzberger, originally from NY, who fell in love with all the flavorful snack food as well. Together, they hatch a business to provide their new hometown, Charlotte, NC with the finest quality snack food products from the Ohio region.
In November 2009, A Taste of Ohio Foods was born, featuring the Mike-Sell’s Snack Food Company product line and Esther Price chocolate-covered Mike-Sells Groovy chips.
We are a happy, little food company committed to bringing the unique snack products manufactured in Ohio to our area. We provide delicious, high-quality regional snack and specialty food products to those transplanted Ohioans, who miss their hometown favorites, and also, introduce these one-of-a-kind flavors to new customers looking for a distinctive flavor found nowhere else.
We believe our products represent the best of Ohio’'s snack and specialty food companies.
