President's Message
Years ago I considered becoming a dealer for one of the many log cabin companies already in business. After much research, I decided to start my own log cabin company using kiln dried logs, Big Fork Valley Log Cabins LLC. To assure top-quality logs, our products come from North America’s finest forests and are kiln dried and milled with our state-of-the-art equipment. Our goal has been to provide a quality log cabin at an affordable price. I invite you to take a look at the competition. Our prices and quality are unmatched. We look forward to creating a family legacy that will be around for generations.

We can give just about any cabin a facelift. Take a look at the slideshows to the left to see before and after pictures of our latest cabin makeover.
Logs:
Our logs come in many different sizes. The most common pictured in the slideshow is a 6x8 D Log. This log has a round exterior and flat interior. The log is designed with a drip edge on the bottom of the exterior so the rain will fall off the top log and land on the face of the log below. You can also see that there is a tongue on the top and a grove on the bottom. We install a 3/8" foam gasket in between every log and a bead of energy seal on each side of the tongue. Flip through the slideshow and feel free to email or call with any questions.
Kiln Dried Logs
• Bigfork Valley Log Cabins uses kiln dried White Pine & Red Pine.
• Our Logs are kiln dried at our plant in Deer River MN to an average moisture content of 19% or less.
• The kiln drying process removes approx 6 - 10,000 lbs of water from the average log home package. This makes it easier to handle the logs during construction and saves money on trucking the log package to the construction site.
• Kiln drying sanitizes the logs, killing insects and their eggs and larvae. This process also reduces mold and staining, eliminating the need for harmful chemicals.
We have many cabins and floor plans to choose from. If you can't find the perfect cabin give us a call and we will be happy to help design the cabin of your dreams. Check out the slideshow to the right of some of the Larger cabins we build. For our smaller cabins click on Mahtowa, Tobies and the Hunter on the menu Bar.
