Who Is TOFSOUND? Christophe 'T' Chartrand is a Chief Executive Officer for Mineral Music Group (MMG). He is professionally known in the industry by his producer name TOFSOUND and has a background as the Chief Exeutive Officer for independant record label TOFSOUND RECORDS. Previous roles included Chief Operating Officer (COO) For Xposure Talent, a talent Agency, as well as being an Executive Member of 4QPRO Event Promotion Company. Christophe has been representing artist in the industry since 2003 as a reord label executive, professional music producer and personal manager in both the United States and Canada.He was appointed to his current role as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MMG in late 2011, with responsibility for leading the operations of Mineral Music Group's music publishing, recorded music, event productions and full-service representation divisions. Page 1 WHAT DOES A PRODUCER DO?Let's start with, while you're in session, or while you're in the room. The music producer is the first fan. He makes sure that every take is up to his standards. He's quality control. Making sure the intonation on instruments is correct. That pitch on the vocal is correct. That performances have the right energy. That the song is recorded at the right tempo. Tempo is huge when recording songs. They determine, really the over all mood and energy of the song. Lower the tempo, the more laid back feel. The higher or faster the tempo. The more energetic and frantic the song is. Outside the session or room, they organize everything. Whether you're bringing in instrumentalists to play on your record. Getting a place to record. Talking to the studio manager in terms of getting booking time in a studio. What's going to be needed to make the studio conducive to the recording you're trying to do? Whether it has the right mic, the right gear that you're looking for. Even the right hours, right location. They basically organize the business of making the record. Making sure people get paid, keeping receipts. And run the business of making the record. But at the same time, making sure that the music to their specifications. And they are the main liaison between record companies and the band. Making sure that the record company is happy with the product produced. That it comes in on budget or within budget. All of these stems are the full duration of the instrumental and can be layered together to recreate the stereo mix of the original instrumental. The reason for stems is that they allow for more precise fine tuning while mixing a song. For example, one can adjust the gain on the Bass without affecting the low end of the Cellos. Or one can mold the cymbals around the vocals without affecting the punch of the snare. Although TOFSOUND beats come already professionally mixed, depending on the particular artist's vocals or the sound of the rest of their album, adjustments may want to be made in mastering. With stems these adjustments can be made much more accurately and easily.Does The Beat I Buy Have The Tag Voice On It (voice saying TOFSOUND)?No. All beats that have been purchased will be delivered without our tag. This is used as a precaution to deter people from stealing our beats. Steal electricity, not our beats.Do These Beats Contain Any Samples Or Copyrighted Material?No. All of our beats are 100% original and with the exception of a few client requested beats.
