About Us
Russell Main Street, Inc. is a non-profit organization consisting
of volunteers and supporters from throughout the community of Russell.
Our Mission
Russell Main Street, Inc. will utilize the Four Point Approach to encourage economic development, reinvestment and historic preservation of the Russell Main Street district; improve the image of the downtown through community promotions and events; and improve the appearance of the Russell Main Street district through design assistance and education. Russell Main Street, Inc. will be the driving force to accomplish the Russell Main Street volunteers will be the driving force to accomplish the Russell Main Street Vision.
Vision 2015
We envision a revitalized Russell Main Street District that creates a sense of place for the entire community. Our downtown fosters economic opportunity, historic preservation efforts, creative endeavors and community vitality.
We envision a vibrant Russell Main Street district that enhances the quality of life for residents and visitors alike by offering a safe and clean environment for public activities and shopping.
We envision a Russell Main Street district that protects, preserves, and promotes its heritage, historic assets, and offers enrichment to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
We envision a Russell Main Street district that is conduvice to business enterprises, employment opportunities and stores that offer special and distinctive merchandise that meets the retail needs of the local community. These stores believe in the personal touch of service and are committed to creating a unique and pleasant shopping experience.
We envision a Russell Main Street district that celebrates its unique and vibrant history and evolving future. Our downtown provides a vibrant setting for cultural experiences, diverse dining, the arts, entertainment, community festival and quality residential living.
Our vision will be achieved and maintained through strong partnerships with local government, businesses, non-profit community organizations, and the residents of Russell. These partnerships are devoted to constantly working together to make the Russell Main Street district a shopping destination, an asset, and a success as both a business district and a thriving social center of the community.
