As a portrait photographer, I have the joy and challenge of photographing people everyday. However, while I enjoy this tremendously, I have hobbies and creative releases that help me to explore other aspects of my creativity.
Two of those things are photographs of flowers and the other is photographs of Kansas.
Flowers are so beautiful and diverse. They really show God's handiwork. The intriquite details as well as the diversity in their colors, sizes, shapes and smells help make flowers one of favorite non human subjects to photograph. Many people flowers, so I feel that in order to really show something special in a photograph of a flower, the image must be constructed with precision and attention to detail. These things help make the difference between ordinary picture of a flower and something that would constitute art as well as do justice to the beauty that God has put on His earth.
The second slide show you see here is that of Kansas Landscapes. When I first moved here from Louisiana, my misconception of Kansas was that it was boring and flat. Boy was I wrong. Kansas is a very beautiful place that has beauty and subtlety that you don't find anywhere else.
Kansas is amazing and if you've never been here, you'd be surprised at just how varied the landscape is. There are hills, which amazed me, considering I thought that this place was so flat. It is also very open and the scenes you find with wide open skies and old barns, houses, windmills, all make for extremely beautiful and peaceful scenery.
This page and set of slideshows is not meant to promote any photography necessarily, it is just meant to show the viewer the beauty of the natural world, through the vision that I see.

To us, wedding photography is all about capturing images about people that show lots of uncontrolled emotion. Emotion that isn't guarded. Emotion that flows straight from the heart of the subject and straight into the lens. We feel extremely confident that we have the ability to show that through our photography.
While it may not be our area of expertiese and specialty, we still however feel that we offer something different and unique that other photoghers do not offer. We are very much people oriented, and we have studied human behavior for many years and know exactly how to in the most subtle ways capture people in ways that they normally do not let others see.
We know how to make those around us very comfortable and therefore they trust us. Through that trust, we're able to capture images that really and truly harness the real emotions and feelings of the day.
BEHIND THE LENS
T.H. Peterson Photography consists of husband and wife duo, Tommy and Holly Peterson. They have photographed thousands of subjects over the past ten years.
And whileTommy generally will shoot most of their subjects, without Holly's level-headed foresight, he would have probably crashed a very long time ago.
Both Tommy and Holly have worked for national portrait chains and have gained much experience from doing so. Their ability to connect with their subjects regardless of age, sex, personality, race, religion, social status, has allowed them to become masters of capturing the true personalities of their subjects.
Tommy's vision and specialty is to take each subject individually and customize a session for them that will speak extremely clear of who they are.
