Monkipoe is a rescue dedicated to providing a safe loving home for monkeys born in the United States. We rescue monkeys that are abused, confiscated, former research primates, and those that can no longer be provided for. Monkipoe exists because of founder Bonnie Poe's love for primates. Bonnie started by owning a monkey as a pet, but quickly came to realize the commitment and resources needed to properly care for monkeys. Monkipoe does not encourage ownership of primates as pets. Monkipoe does not sell monkeys for pets, or for any other purpose. Monkipoe believes that monkeys be allowed to function as family units. We are expanding our current facilities to accommodate the growing need to house abandoned, neglected, or unwanted monkeys. Our ability to do this charitable works depends largely on your donations. All donations go towards the improving and and expanding the living areas, feeding, and providing medical care for the monkeys. We need and appreciate your support and generous donations.
