The Security Industry Authority stresses that it is essential that people working in the private security industry undergo a structured training programme that results in recognised qualifications.
The belief is that this will result in a competent and professional workforce, that will improve the public image of the private security industry.
It is our contention though, that training should be ongoing and the skilled 'Security Practitioner' will be able to demonstrate this by embarking on a CPD (continued professional development) programme.
Our contribution is to deliver this training from our impressive portfolio of over 50 accredited training programmes through 3 awarding bodies, Edexcel, EDI and HABC.
Our speciality areas for the 'Security Professional' are :
Private Investigation instructed by former Scotland Yard trained Detective
Advanced Close Protection instructed by former Special Forces Operators
a
Advanced Surveillance - Anti-Terrorism - Conflict Management delivered
by experts in their respective fields who are listed on our Instructors page.

The Close Protection Industry is in a revolutionary age of global changes. Political, commercial and civilian needs have and are advancing at phenomenal levels never seen before and indeed the prediction for its growth is undeniable. The need for Professional Close Protection Operatives of the highest calibre is crucial.
To this end, the introduction of The Security Industry Act - legislated through the SIA (Security Industry Authority), now governs the licensing procedure which is now required to work as a Close Protection Officer in the U.K.
The conversion to this legislation is due to vast government investment, education and support, ensuring that the industry retains confidence and reliability, having a professional standard always guaranteed and monitored giving a reputable and respected benchmark.
The security industry therefore is projected into an ever progressing level where optimum opportunities to pursue market/industry achievement will be open to our students provided by the PBA Training Centre.

Level 3 Close Protection (Qcf) BTEC Certificate
There is much controversy out there today with people huffing and puffing and blowing out their chest claiming that their CP Course is the best thing since sliced bread and then charging you for the privilege of hearing them tell you more about their escapades when they should be teaching you the essential basics of Close Protection.
The PBA make no such claim, rather we simply say that our course is written to map the SIA requirements for licensing and modeled on "The Bodyguards Bible" otherwise referred to as the DEFINITIVE GUIDE TO CLOSE PROTECTION.
The mandatory requirement is 140 guided learning hours and this is barely enough time to teach you the basics sufficient for you to apply for your SIA license.
The real skill in Close Protection is knowing and understanding your role within the team and its execution. This is a skill developed over time with continuous practice in the field working with real professionals. You can enhance your learning by committing to a Continued Professional Development program
once you are licensed to operate.
