biography Summer 2009 , after their departure from Fungus Imperator , Pascal Parent and Domenico Solazzo returned to their respective musical project(s). Actually, Pascal asked Domenico to help him on his ambitious Mr.Yous concept. Because they needed more time to do so, the good feeling between this two good fellas finally pushed them to start something completely new with each other.
Quickly it appeared they were in need of making something strong, loud and powerfull. Since the split up of DeafDialogue , Domenico always lived with the idea of making another metal/rock band. So, it's quite naturally that he decided to bring back his old chap Ari Tintikakis to make his guitar roar again... The adventure could start !
They took some time to find their name, but once they did, they also find the concept around the music : now called Habemus Papam , our trio was officially comprised of Panzer Kardinal on guitar, Pogo Ist on bass and Torquemadrum on drums. Visually, the band plays suited in religious habits, a monk, a priest and a cardinal.
A tremendous and successfull first concert at D.N.A. on thursday january 8th 2010 was the starting point of their official musical crusade. A first EP saw the light of day by the end of the year as the band embarked on a promotional tour which saw them play at Moulin Fantôme , Garcia Lorca and Magasin 4 , sharing the bill with Burn Out , Shogun , The Temple , and even german psychedelic band Guru Guru !
At last, Habemus Papam released their first self-titled album by april 2011 , produced at Studio Molière by Eric Renwart and remastered by Matthieu Duvault from Smart Sound Studio . This 8 track cd presented in a smart customised packaging features bass player Alan Davey (from Hawkwind and Gunslinger 's fame) on one track. The band toured with great success soon after, sharing the bill with Alan 's band by the end of the year.
As we know, God works in mysterious ways. By 2012 , Domenico left the band for personal reasons but, praise the Lord, he was quickly and efficiently replaced by the valliant Javel . A new page in the Habemus Papam 's Bible is about to be written !
