Our Artists
The Fusion Room currently has four main artists signed to the label. We also work with other producers and artists on single tracks, EP's and remix works on a individual basis.
All the artists here are not only composers and musicians, they are producers as well. We
look for the whole package here.
We admire individuality and we actively encourage the fusing of genres and brand new sound creation. We have found that the more unusual tracks in our catalogue tend to fare the best which proves that uniqueness is important in the industry.
We are looking for more artists to sign, but we are very careful who we take on. We don't like big egos or arrogance. There's no room for that here. We like down to earth, modest people who just want to make good music. Any artist here must be devoted to their art, no half hearted attitudes allowed. We want a commitment that the artist will work hard, that does not mean every hour God sends, but if we ask for something within a time frame, we expect it done.
We are all about the artists. We want them to succeed, we work hard for you, and you work hard for us. If this happens, we should get along just fine and hopefully make some HOT tunes....
Robb
Robb is an experimental new age producer. He writes beautiful melodies, resonant drums, subtle tweaks and loves to put in weird and wonderful things that have not been done before, the robb-isms.
He has just completed the long awaited debut solo album "Hidden Within" which is an
amazing diverse and beautiful composition. He has put his heart, soul, life and passion into this album and we know it will be well received.
His style and approach epitomizes the label's objective, to create astounding fusion music of an ambient or melodic nature. This is something he excels at.
His album will be available digitally and through retail around September 2009. You can stream most of the album from his myspace profile at www.myspace.com/robbmuzika
You can also hear more of his work at his official web www.robbmusic.com
mhyst
Mhyst has a large musical background going back to a very early age when she trained as a classical pianist and violinist. Now she is learning classical guitar as well.
Although she loves the classical music itself, she has never felt at home in those circles and prefers to mix it with computer and electronic music producers. The electronic interest began at age 14 after joining a techno band. She then progressed to the more melodic trance music which became popular during her late teens and early adulthood.
Right now, Mhyst is working on a trance EP. It is classic anthemic ibiza trance which she hopes will be the lift off she needs.
Mhyst is perfecting production currently, experimenting with new mixing techniques, different monitors and different export settings to get the balance exactly right.
In September, Mhyst begins her music technology degree which can only further enhance the knowledge she already has. She is currently in the studio recording her next album "Solarium", a new age work with lots of interesting twists and turns. Rookiecop
It is refreshing in todays climate of fame-seeking want-it-now fabricated pop to find an artist who values strong concepts, credibility and a depth of music that reveals more with each listen.
With a number of years in the underground arts & music scene & a sneaky 2 year Media Music course under his belt Rookiecop has been quietly honing his production skills & learning to write in a number of styles.
Often mixing orchestral elements, triphop, ambient, funk & house music, the sound has been described as filmic, dark, melancholic, warm...
Rookiecop also produces, remixes, composes music & sound design for films. He is currently experimenting with video.
To date Rookiecop has signed non exclusive music deals that include Intune Music Library, Pump Audio, Soundtrapper & Sounsdsnap. Factoids: he has had 1 Future Music & 2 Computer Music magazine coverdiscs to his name; 2 top tracks on Pulserated Internet Radio and a showcase at the Cannes Lions 2007 international advertising event. His music has been used in several short films (arthouse, cartoon, documentary) & digital media applications.
The Fusion Room is excited to have an artist of this calibre on board and we feel his sound will bring diversity to our expanding catalogue. You can hear more of his work at www.myspace.com/rookiecop
Sapphia
Sapphia are an electro and dance based trio. They gig and produce music as a sideline to their studies at university. They do not have a website up yet , but hopefully that will change soon. The Fusion Room has distributed their single "Pulse" digitally as an EP of three mixes.
The founder member of the band, Leo Wood , is a musicology student and part time DJ. He learned to beat match at the age of 8 and made lots of unofficial remixes to practice. As time went on he acquired good equipment and began to DJ at parties and club nights, finally getting himself a residency at a fairly large club.
The technician of Sapphia, Mark Bridges, is a music tech and media student. He plays keyboards for the band, mixes, triggers all the live sets and produces everything.
The main writer of the music, Kyle Healey is a computer music MA student with ambitions of turning his composition into a full time career. He also plays Triton for the band and sometimes gets his Waldorf out.
The Fusion Room is delighted to have these talented boys on board and we think the EP is a good one. Watch out for more from them in the future.
mercurie
Mercurie is a music producer from North London. He writes downtempo and dub. Having little faith in his own work, he has passed it over to us to remix and distribute as trance and club versions. We have told him we are impressed with the work, and he is happy for us to try and get it out there, so we have. Here is the first track from his EP "Red Elements" remixed by Mhyst as a hard trance edit.
We intend to release more from him in the future including a hard trance mix of his wonderful leftfield electro dub track "Laser".
We feel fortunate to have someone from the underground scene willing to put out his music to a wider audience, a purist and DJ, he feels it is time to bite the commercial bullet and become a charted artist....
He idolises the work of rave producers especially the early Prodigy music. He first encountered the underground rave scene when he heard "Charly" at a less than legal warehouse party...
Those were the days....he tells us....
Mercurie does have a website....we will post it soon.....
haliurnae
The Fusion Room is pleased to welcome our latest signing "Haliurnae". Hailing from bonnie Scotland, Haliurnae is a talented psy and goa trance producer. The mixes are energetic, and not unlike some of the big artists out there today, we believe the world is ready for a scottish oakenfold....
Discovered on myspace, that treacherous social network we feared for so long has now delivered.
Haliurnae's album "After The Solstice" managed to land a feature on newdigitool just days after its release. The review was highly complimentary and basically said what we think of the work. It is thumping goa trance with some awesome intertwined northern spirit, which is what captured us in the first place.
You can check out the tracks at www.myspace.com/haliurnae
