singer / composer / arranger
JC started learning music when he was 9 years old, studying the drums for 13 consecutive years in the music academy with the great teacher Marc Lagrange (first prize of Paris).
At 12, he was already performing on stage with his first band as a drummer and singer, where he learnt the essential rudiments for a musician, and knew for certain that his path in life was to be a singer.
At 15, he met an arranger which led to him starting vocal recording sessions in studio on advertisements intended for various media. This enriching experience gave him a feel for working with sound in studio under professional conditions.
This was followed by years of singing and playing with numerous bands in places and events such as pubs, concerts and festivals, during which time he was able to try out different
sorts of musical styles such as Jazz, Rock, Funk, Pop, Soul, Blues, World...
In the process, he developed his vocal identity and then returned to the studio to perform sessions as a vocal arranger, and composer / melodist.
A providential meeting with the famous sound engineer / producer / director
Pierre Jacquot led to a new evolutionary phase in his professional career. At the same time, he met Antoine (Pierre's son) who is also a very talented and creative sound engineer.
Artistically complementary, and united by a true human complicity, the three of them decided to form the hard core of a successful creative team.
sound engineer / composer / arranger
Antoine Jacquot was born on February 3rd, 1981 in Chalon / Saône. He started his musical training at a very young age by going with his father, Pierre Jacquot (the famous sound engineer) to many concerts, festivals and studio sessions, where he met great artists such as Catherine Lara, André Ceccarelli, Dee dee Bridgewater, Michel Legrand and many others.
The desire to make music came quite naturally, and he began to learn the drums by following rhythmic music theory education for five years with Thomas Patris , followed by learning the piano.
In 1996, at the age of 15, Antoine decided to stop his studies to dedicate himself completely to a sound engineer career by working with his father where he learnt all the rudiments of the profession in the most famous Parisian studios, subsequently, he was sought and hired by the studios ( Plus XXX, Mega, Davout, Guillaume Tell ) and had the opportunity to work with big artists and engineers such as the Fugees , P.Obispo & ensemble for « Sa raison d’être », Francis Cabrel « Hors Saison » and others...
In 2003, a professional collaboration started between father and son when they created Jak's Home Studio . Located in Versailles, the studio was in charge of recordings, mixings and masterings for Universal, Koka media, Cezame music agency, Vox Terrae, Naîve...
In 2005, as the person responsible for sound state control FOH, he managed Lara Fabian's "9” Tour and succeeding concerts over the next years, until he made the personal decision to focus his career on working in studio.
From this time, Antoine has brilliantly managed large-scale projects " Géo magasine 30 ans " gathering great artists from all horizons, and including the albums from " Toasting Music " (famous Reggae label) of which " 18* Ova riddim driven " with Sizzla, B.Banton, Wayne, P.Morgan, Presses, Alaine and Ova … as well as Lady Saw 's last album, available in September, 2010.
In 2009, Antoine met JC Wecker (singer / composer / arranger / melodist) in Jak's Home Studio. They hit it off and decided to bring together their experiences, abilities and talents in order to compose and arrange a strong material mixing electro and funk influences. However, an indispensable element was missing: words!
They quickly found an ideal solution by asking their friend and talented artist, Maud Moucheron (singer / composer / songwriter) to join them and bring her personal touch.
This magical combination resulted in the song, Seize The Day, and vocal recordings began.
Antoine finalised the work brilliantly with an effective mixing and mastering and the single was ready to spread its catchy and powerful Electro-Funk groove worldwide. Judge for yourself!
singer / songwriter
Maud took her first singing lessons at the age of 20 with Frédéric Marquer . He taught her the essential singing techniques and the sense of interpretation which enabled her to perform quickly in different Brussels cabarets ( Belgium ).
In 2002, she learnt the discipline and rigour of the show ‘the American way ' by leaving for China with " The Brothers and Sisters Professional Dance Company ". There, she was leader in the French Cabaret named " La Maison " located in the heart of Shanghai.
On her return to Belgium, Maud met Laurence Bartier with whom she decided to form the group " Modélo " in which they performed as a duet, singing international variety songs. Together, they took part in hundreds of private evenings, cocktails, marriages, etc... Nowadays, an acoustic version of this concept has successfully resulted in the animation of more intimate evenings.
In 2004, Maud met Phil Raherisoanjato , Malagasy guitarist and composer. This meeting led to the formation of the band " Unja Feo " which performs on stage Phil's original compositions.
In 2005, Maud started giving singing lessons at the “ Music Center” in Walloon Brabant , and after the closing of this modern music school, she continued giving private singing lessons, with particular interest in Brett Manning’s vocal techniques and in Cathrin Sadolin’s extreme vocal effects.
Meanwhile, she sometimes worked as a singer, or backing vocalist for several pop/rock bands. She also participated in different studio recordings as a backing vocalist.
In 2007, she created with Jérome Delamare (guitarist / arranger / composer) an electro/pop/rock project called " Charlie Little Girl ". For the first time she worked as a songwriter and composer. This collaboration gave birth to 12 original compositions and a video clip for the single ‘ Do you?’ .
In 2008, Maud undertook computer graphics studies and left Belgium for three months to train in Montpellier (France). From this time, she has created the posters, flyers, presentations for the different bands in which she sings.
The desire to investigate new horizons led Maud to look at her special interest in Jazz music... maybe the origin of a new project to come...
At present, Maud is also working on the writing of a tale for children in association with the graphic designer and illustrator Nathalie De Cock.
Some months ago, JC Wecker (singer / composer / arranger / melodist - France) and Antoine Jacquot (sound engineer / composer / arranger - France) invited Maud to collaborate as songwriter on a very ambitious Electro Funk project named " The D Bros " and Seize the Day was born. Enjoy the magic!
