What Are Animal Rights?
Animal rights is the belief that non-humans deserve the same basic rights as humans. These rights will inevitably be interpreted differently from individual to individual but non-humans should have the right to freedom; the right to bodily integrity and the right to live life free from human exploitation.
NOTE- We don't believe that Chimpanzees deserve the right to vote, or dogs should run for prime minister that's just illogical and plain nuts! This misconception, in all probability, has been cooked up by the media and ignorant persons.
Why should I Support Animal Rights?
Ultimately it's a matter of choice whether you want to support animal rights and its premise of total animal liberation, or support the cruel, barbaric industries that subject non-humans to pain and suffering everyday. Can you live with blood on your hands, metaphorically of course, but nevertheless every time you purchase a beef burger, Cow burger, to be accurate or wear that make up tested on innocent non-humans you have indirectly killed that non-human by supporting such industries.
slide 4
Is 'Animal Rights' for me?
Do you believe that animals are sentient beings capable of feeling pleasure and pain? Just take a look at your non-human companion.
Do you believe that animal are not ours to eat, not ours to wear, not ours to experiment on and not ours to use for our entertainment? (& Shouldn't be?) If so, then animal rights is for you!
Can animal right supporters still eat meat?
No way! That would be harming the cause and contrary to animal rights. Animal right supporters inevitably become vegetarians or vegans. It would be a massive contradiction to the cause if an animal right supporter consumed meat. Eating meat is violating an animals right to freedom, considering they are kept in cramped, dirty and unnatural living conditions. Eating meat is violating an animals right to bodily integrity, considering they are abused and tortured. And eating meat is violating an animals right to live, since it has been prematurely ended for your lunch or dinner.

What is a vegetarian?
A vegetarian is a person who abstains from all meat products, fish included. Vegetarians also avoid leather, fur and wool. Vegetarians still consume eggs, honey and diary.
What is a vegan?
A vegan is a person who abstains from all animal products. Meat, fish, eggs, diary and honey are all avoided. Vegans also eschew leather, fur, wool and silk. Products tested on animals are also avoided and so are products containing animal ingredients.

What is.....?
...Factory Farming?
Factory farming is the intense rearing of animals for human consumption and profit. Factory farmed animals are not seen as sentient beings with individual personalities, likes and dislikes; they are seen as units, as money in the pocket. Animals reared on factory farms have very little space; they are subjected to unnatural living conditions and are not permitted to roam free. Factory farmed animals cannot express their natural behaviour and they are often badly treated by employers at the factory. Factory farming can be thanked for mad cow disease, chicken flu and swine flu. Factory farms are a breeding ground for bacteria and superbugs!!

Awwwww!
....vivisection?
Vivisection is the brutal act of operating on fully conscience animals without the use of anaesthetic. Vivisection has undoubtedly hijacked the name 'Science' to win public support and obviously people have been fooled and believe vivisection to be an authentic, plausible science! This could be no further from the truth. To claim animals are perfect models for human disease and illness is ludicrous. Humans are physiologically, anatomically, metabolically and genetically different from other animals, so therefore, any results extrapolated to humans are invalid and dangerously misleading!
slide 8
Vivisection is a nugatory science, a science based on contradictions and hypocrisy's. The public need to know that vivisection is unethical, morally unjustifiable and most importantly scientifically retarded.
Animals used in vivisectio include: Dogs, cats, Mice, Rats, Primates, Rabbits and even iguanas and horses! The animals aren't only used in medical 'research' but also in experiments for household items such as bleach and makeup.

.....The fur trade?
Only beautiful animals and ugly people wear fur!
That's a strong statement but it's true! Fur is a cruel trade that causes severe suffering. The animal is often skinned alive and can live for up to 5 minutes after this has been carried out. Animals are also Anally electrocuted so as not to ruin the fur. More than 50 million animals were killed for fur in 2006. Most of these animals live in terrible conditions on fur farms before being skinned or killed, but some animals are caught in the wild. In china, which imports a lot of fur into European countries, the fur comes from Cats and dogs!
Real fur can sometimes be mistakenly labelled as fake or faux fur- Find out how to spot real fur here..
Foxes, mink, rabbits and even seals are all victims to the fur trade! Find out more about the cruel reality of fur at THIShandy site!

.....Bloodsports?
Hunting for sport still goes on in the 21 century! Thankfully fox hunting was banned in this country in 2005 but currently this ban is at risk. Fox hunting isn't the only blood sport. Game shooting still happens all over Britain. It is a huge business where birds are reared in conditions worse than battery hens. The birds are bred in huge numbers in tiny wire cages and set out into the countryside at the beginning of the shooting season. The landowners also set snares and kill any other animal (cats, dogs, foxes, badgers even rabbits) that may wander in and disturb the 'money earning birds'. Bull fighting is also a terrible sport-the bull is often worn out before the fight begins and is impaled numerous times until he dies of exhaustion. Greyhound racing is another cruel industry in which many dogs are killed or abandoned if they don't do well. Horse racing is also very dangerous for the horses and horses sustain terrible injuries and many race horses are shot every year. Find out more about cruel Blood sports at the league.
