About Us 
The Photographer
My name is Thea Heyink, and I was trained
to view the world through a lens by world renowned
artist and naturalist Robert Bateman. I am passionate about photographing children in particular. As well, I enjoy photographing families in a natural and relaxed setting.
What's In My Camera Bag
I use Nikon equipment. My first camera was a D70,
which I used for four years before really learning my craft with a professional standard D300. I now use the incomparable Nikon D7000. I recently acquired a dedicated portrait lens, the Nikkor 24-70mm, my favourite! As well when circumstances warrant, I will use the fantastic 18-200mm zoom lens.

FEES TO BE PAID AT TIME OF SITTING.
-These fees include a CD with all the finished proofs
(chosen and processed by us), and one 8 x 10 portrait of our choice (except professional portraits and real estate).
-Extra prints are available upon request, pricing to be determined.
-Model release forms may be required to be signed.
Suggestions 
Suggestions for a Photo-shoot
Our preference is a relaxed experience, preferrably outdoors, in either a natural garden/park or a rustic setting. However you may request the style you prefer, it is your photo-shoot after all!
We suggest casual clothing, preferrably in layers, so that adjustments can be made as temperatures fluctuate during the photo shoot.
Suggestions for Clothing
Bright colours should be worn. You may want to wear matching clothing, but do take a change of clothing along for a different look. You may also request a formal photo-shoot if you wish, with more traditional poses.
If the photoshoot is in your area, a location should be chosen which will allow a variety of poses. If props are required, they must be requested when you make the appointment.
