Genesis…...A New Beginning is a licensed Mental Health facility that provides counseling for alcohol and drug abuse, domestic violence and mental health and family crises issues.
Counseling services include assessments, individual, group and Intensive Outpatient alcohol and drug counseling.

State approved clinical assessment and substance abuse screening instrument tests are performed to determine the level of involvement a person has with a legal or an illegal drug. This private evaluation is done under the supervision of a state Certified Substance Abuse CounsetorThe results of this evaluation will indicate the level of treatment, according to ASAM and DSMIV criteria, needed to aid the reaching his or her goals of from drug influence or client in freedom addiction.
This evaluation is available to all who are directed by the court system, probation officers, attorneys or for those who desire to come on their own as a proactive measure.
We also offer alcohol and drug screening services to employers for prescreening and EAP referrals, court and probation offices, social service organizations or private individuals.

We realize that many times the families of those who have battled with alcohol and drug addiction suffer as well.
We offer to family members, as well as our Substance Abuse clients, counseling and educational services that will help them cope with the problems of substance abuse. If you are interested in personal counseling from one of our qualified counselors, please call our office for an appointment.
Assessment
-To evaluate academic skills and learning aptitude, including intelligence testing and academic achievement for possible learning disabilities and for academic giftedness
-To provide information to school teams to assist in determination of eligibility for special education services
Consultation
-To help strengthen working relationships between educators, parents and
community services
-To assist in the identification of best teaching and learning strategies for students with disabilities or unusual talents (including academically gifted)
Intervention
-To help solve conflicts and problems in learning and adjustment for all
school-aged students
-To help families and school personnel deal with crises such as death, illness or community trauma
