Teresa's Doula Service
The Word "doula" comes from the ancient Greek term meaning "a woman caregiver." A doula is a woman who has education and experience assisting families with their newborn baby/babies. The doula helps in the home providing the family with guidance, non-judgemental support, and education for their baby.

About me
As a new parent this is one of the most exciting and stressful times in your life. I want to help guide and support you within this new role. I have been a postpartum doula for over 7 years and absolutely love what I do. I have been blessed with raising three children of my own and truly feel there is no stronger love. Each family is unique with their wants and needs when it comes to their newborn. I do not have any minimum or set hours as I feel I want to be there to support each family when it best meets their needs. I travel to all areas of San Diego. I have been trained through Beautiful Beginnings Doula Services and am also Dona certified to work anywhere in the United States. I have taken classes in breastfeeding, well baby care, sleep strategies, and postpartum depression. I have worked with families that have a single newborn, twins, and families with triplets. I love to cook and often bring homecooked meals to my families. I have many local resources and can guide you with problems that may arise with your newborn. I don't mind running errands, picking up baby items you may need, or helping out in any other aspect. I feel all families that want a doula should be able to have one and I want to provide that extra support.
