Cristy Nelson has been cooking in the kitchen with her mom from a very young age, which inspired her to become a chef. In 2002, she graduated from the California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, CA. Since then, she has worked in some of San Diego's most up and coming restaurants. She then decided that she wanted to cook for families and make it more personal. In 2005, she moved to Reno with her husband, Shawn, and their dog Beau, to be closer to family and get out of busy southern California. Shortly after, she started cooking and catering for local families, events and special occasions. Her favorite things to cook are what remind her of being home; lots of comfort food with a gourmet touch, as well as little treats and baked goods.
Ted Wells is a trained chef and graduate of Johnson & Wales University in the Culinary Arts. he has an extensive background, from Italian fine dining to rustic down home cooking. He has 10 years experience cooking in high end, fast paced restaurants and private catering, among many other venues. He loves to cook for all sizes of events, from one person to small family meals to catering for many. The hope is that everyone can enjoy a personalized meal from the personal chef.
