COMING FALL 2012...SUMMARY:Side Door Coffee Shop offers coffees, espresso, pies, breads, sweet treats, and more. We also have a retail section with shirts, mugs, coffee-related products, lamps, pictures, and all kinds of fun, locally-made items. Daily specials on coffee, espresso, and sweet treats are always available, and we have music going and free WiFi accessibility.In the summertime, we kick open the roll-up doors and enjoy the weather and creek out back. In cooler weather, we build a fire in the pit for those adventurous enough to venture to the outdoor seating area.We operate as a green, community-involved business, offering specials with valid college and military ID, along with many innovative programs.We will soon also offer bottled beer and house wines...
Side Door Coffee Shop works hard at being involved locally, regionally, and globally in good deeds and environmental conservation. Here are some highlights...CONSERVATION:Our location was built-out with left-over and recycled materials from construction sites in and around the Tri-Cities that would normally have ended up in the landfill, along with reclaimed local elements.Our location is a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the Naitonal Wildlife Federation.Our cups are bio-degradable and made from recycled materials, and we reduce the need for so much plastic packaging with our 'pick your own' displays.We conserve water and enregy in a lot of ways - through the on-demand water heater, CFL bulbs, etc.We have recycling bins in the shop for customers, and we recycle cardboard, milk jugs, etc. behind the scenes.You can pick up used coffee grounds anytime during normal business hours to enrich your garden and help us reduce waste.We help protect our groundwater with our partially graveled parking area to allow the water to permeate the soil and not just runoff to the creek.COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:PIe Wars 2012 sponsor to benefit the Children's Advocacy CenterMember of the Young Professionals Tri-Cities
