So the woman left her water jar, and went away into the city, and said to the people, "Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did. Can this be the Christ?" They went out of the city and were coming to him. ..Many Samaritans from that city believed in him because of the woman's testimony, "He told me all that I ever did."
John 4:28 - 30, 39 RSV
Rev. Tasha M. Brown, M.Div., is a licensed and ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus the Christ. She was ordained into the Gospel ministry May 2002 by the late Rev. Dr. Arthur D. Griffin, Sr. of First Baptist Congregational Church. She graduated from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary June 2002 with a Master of Divinity and is currently a 2011 Doctor of Ministry candidate at McCormick Theological Seminary.
Rev. Brown’s passion and desire is to help others experience the transforming power of Jesus the Christ. She is motivated by the biblical account of the Samaritan woman at the well where Jesus’ intentional interactions with one woman made such an impact that others were saved. Rev. Brown has experienced the transforming power of Jesus and wants others to see Him for themselves. She wants to share the TRUTH with others and help them live a more prosperous and productive life. She believes that when you liberate a woman, a whole community will follow.
Rev. Brown is the founder and president of The Women’s Leadership Network, Inc. It is a training and development organization for women. The organization provides mentoring, educational and networking opportunities for both women in business and women in ministry. The organization helps women learn to lead excellently while improving their personal, professional, and spiritual lives.
In the summer of 2010 Rev. Brown was able to live out her call as a pastor by serving the historic Trinity Community Church United Church of Christ of Berwyn, IL as their first African American (Interim) Pastor. She was blessed by the experience and awaits the day she moves into the pastorate full-time.
Rev. Brown is the wife of Excell Brown, Jr. and mother to Christopher E. Brown, 6 and Kai M. Brown, 3. She works for the city of Chicago as a supervisor of children services programs and is in the process of planting a new church with the Disciples of Christ, Christian Church. She loves Jesus and knows that without Him, she can do nothing.

"The Spirit call me, and I must go." Sojourner Truth
That little man in black over there, he says women can't have as much rights as men, 'cause Christ wasn't a woman! Where did your Christ come from? From God and a woman! Man had nothing to do with Him.
Sojourner Truth, Ain't I A Woman,
a speech delivered in 1851

Then he took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in the pouch of his shepherd's bag and, with his sling in his hand, approached the Philistine.....Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground. So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.
