3rd Grade
Science: Sound!!! We just started to learn about
sound. We will be learning where sound and vibrations come from,
the different length, volume, pitch and thickness of sound, and more!
We will also make our own instruments and test the sounds they make.
Math: We are continuing to review and add to what
we've learned in 2nd grade. We are practicing money, fact
families, rounding, telling time, measuring, and estimating,
just to name a few!
Social Studies: Maps & Geography!!!
We are learning the different components of and how to read
maps and about different geographical features of the world.
2nd Grade
Science: Mealworms!!! We will be watching our
mealworns change into beetles and recording the changes
along the way.... as well as learning about the different body
parts of each.
Math: We are practicing our fact families, measuring, and
skip counting. We are learning how to tell time, count money,
write fractions, and use a graph, plus much, much more!
Social Studies: We are learning about our government
and our all of the communities that we are a part of.
Both Grades
Fundations: Mark Up!!
We will be continuing to tap out and mark up our Spelling words.
It is becoming easier to sound out words we come across that
we don't know!!
Language Arts: We are all learning the different parts of speech,
grammar, paragraph form, and how to improve and edit our own writing.
